Chapter 24 - He Lied

“Girls, can you wait for me here? Saglit lang ako. May itatanong lang ako sa security office.” Luke asked tapos lahat sila nagnod nalang. Nung umalis na si Luke, lahat sila nagtinginan saakin with their curious faces.

“Ate Rein, you think Sir Luke is gay??”

“Ha?!” And with that, I burst out laughing. Grabe. HAHAHA. SI LUKE?! GAY?!! “No! He’s not gay! Hahaha.”

“Okay, fine. He’s not gay. Eh bakit ka tawa ng tawa, Ate?”

“Nothing. Ang awkward lang kasi. Kung alam niyo lang how good his kiss—“  I stopped at my tracks when I almost spit out an information that was supposed to be for the both of us only.

“How good his what is?” Lelia smirked.

“Nothing.” If you only knew how good his kisses are! I looked at my knotted fingers para maiwasan yung tingin nila saakin.

“Let’s go girls?? Ally, are you okay?” Thank God dumating si Luke!! Kung hindi baka kung ano na nasabi ko.

Anyway, nauna na maglakad yung mga blockmates ko. Kami ni Luke yung nasa likod. I can’t help but to smile thinking about the gay thing. Masyadong gwapo si Luke para maging gay. Hahaha.

I opened my bag para mapacheck sa guard. May bag inspection kasi dito sa school when you go in and out. The school’s too strict when it come to security.

My bag’s zipper got stuck kaya I was walking while looking at my bag para maka-catch up sa blockmates ko and kay Luke. Bigla nalang ako hinawakan ni Leila sa wrist which made me flinch kasi ang sakit ng pagkakahawak niya.

“What?! Masakit yun ah!” Pagkalingon ko sakanila, all of their jaws were literally dropped. Well, not Luke of course. Tinaasan ko ng kilay si Leila tapos she pointed her lips to an Audi R8 that was parked in the drop off section. I looked at the R8 carfully and to the man who was standing beside it. Nakatalikod siya pero he’s familiar.

Oh shit.

I blinked my eyes twice to make sure he was really there. Nung tumalikod siya, his eyes got fixed on me for a few seconds then he looked at Luke who was now standing behind me.

“Girls, let’s go!” I snapped. Tiningnan ko blockmates ko but they were still standing kung nasaan sila. Hindi sila sumusunod! “Hui! Halika na! Maglulunch tayo diba?!” Luke was just looking at me too. Ano ba sila?! Ganon ba sila kashock sa lalaking nakatayo sa harapan nila ngayon?!

I started walking away faster but to my surprise, he spoke. “Rein, get in the car.” It was clearly an order from him pero inignore ko lang siya. We were starting to get the whole school’s attention pero naglakad parin ako palayo.

So much for giving a low profile, huh? Sabi mo low profile tapos nandito ka??

“Rein Bustamante, get in the car! NOW!” This time, lahat ng tao around us stopped just to look at what is happening. Pati yung mga guard nakatingin na saamin. I felt ashamed sa nangyayari. Ayoko na mapahiya. This is too much already.

Slowly, I turned back and without looking back or saying anything to Luke and my blockmates, I went inside the R8.

The drive was quiet. No one dared to talk. Blake was a cold as ice and I didn’t know why. Dapat nga ako yung galit eh, siya yung may iba hindi ako. Pagkadating sa bahay, I went straight to my bedroom and locked the door.
