Introduction

 INTRODUCTION

  'GET OUT! JUST GET OUT OF MY HOUSE' I hear my mum scream at my dad, hopefully she means it this time, my dads an absolute prick. And my mum is an absolute pushover, dad fucks everything that moves and my mum pretends it doesn't happen, but when she cannot ignore it she tells him to 'get out', he leaves and she begs him to come back. It's pathetic really, and sometimes I hate her as much as my dad.  

  My dad leaves again, with a slam of the door for added drama, and leaves mum sobbing in a heap on the floor.

  Or not.

  'Elizabeth' My mum whispers behind my door and knocks softly.

  'Come in mum' I said exasperatedly.

  'Elizabeth, I mean it this time' I snort with laughter because I just do not believe her, but before I have a chance to say something she lifts her hand up and cuts me off 'Let me finish, me and your father have not been with each other, properly in years, I have filed for divorce and we are moving back to the village I grew up in'

   'Are you serious?!' I half shout, I have friends here, I am meant to be going into my second year of A levels, and she is sending us to some random village in the middle of nowhere!

  'I am very serious, they have a sixth form college in the city near to the village, it is one of the best in the country and you have been accepted' She said looking at me, with tears in her eyes, threatening to fall 'I have thought about this for awhile, I haven't been happy and neither have you, I want to be near family, you understand right?'

 I nodded, of course I understood, I didn't want to, what I really wanted was to scream and throw a typical, cliche teenage hissy fit. But my mum needed me, so I would have to suck it up and move to this stupid place, where old people probably rode bikes, and neighbours spoke to each other. Great.
