Lily was glad to get away from those two. They seemed to attract one calamity after another. She couldn't believe that they would use her like that. How in the world did they think they could drag her straight into peril and adversity without even telling her what was going on? Sure, she had volunteered, but she just wanted to quench her desire for adventure. She had not anticipated the manifold monsters they would encounter or deadly terrain they would have to travel through.
She had to get back to her habitation quickly so that she could tell everyone that Harper and Connor could not be trusted.
