The Scan

Eyes widening Eunwoo was glad he hadn't had the hot chocolate in his mouth. "Expecting?!" he whisper shouted, getting excited. Instantly she burst into giggles. "yeah we're going for a scan today." He laughed but then looked at her. Standing up she moved her coat to reveal, a small yet starting to become noticeable bump. Seems as though her family genes weren't entirely working for her. Then again her bump wasn't the size it should be at this stage of pregnancy it was still small.
"oh my god!" he exclaimed. "how have you found it?" His tone became a lot softer as he was emphasising with her. Shrugging she sighed, "my back aches a bit, I feel sick and I can't stand the taste of apples anymore. I'm sick a lot but other than that it's going quite well. My family typically doesn't show until 7th month. Apart from me apparently I'm the exception." her eyes started to water up, as she covered her face with her hair." my family can't fly here for another few weeks. I have so many loving friends that I see as family. I have Heechul, he's my family. But my blood family. I haven't seen them in ages. I'm scared that they might not be able to come at all." Tears dribbled down her cheeks," I'm scared ill have a miscarriage as well." At least she cried prettily.
Eunwoo had no clue what to do, so he reached over and softly patted her head." everything we be alright, I have a feeling. You've helped me so much already. Thank you." Diane wiped her tears and looked up with a nod," y-yeah you're right." she took a few minutes to calm down before going back to her drink. Watching as Eunwoo talked about recent concerts.

The clock ticked by and after an hour of just chatting, they both decided to go their separate ways. "we should text some more." Both agreed and held that statement to heart as they hugged, before leaving.

"where could I go?" she asked herself before going on her phone and ordering an uber. Now. The company that Diane was labelled to was actually Jyp. Once the uber was here, she asked to be driven there, and the uber complied. Well it'd be strange if it didn't." thank you! "she bowed her head and exited the car, approaching the massive building. Many guards were placed, instantly asking for her ID. Unfortunately she forgot that at home and sighed, looking at them." please guys. Let me off this once. " pulling an adorable expression they shook their heads and let her in.

Now walking to the office, they gave her a spare ID they always kept for her, now she approached the cafeteria. There she saw got7 chilling and eating, along with twice in the back." I guess they need this break. They all train so hard." She went and grabbed a small bowl of salad, paying for it before heading over and sitting down next tooooooo

Almost immediately they all greeted her, "all we could do was talk about the fantastic news you gave us!" Momo exclaimed with a smile, making some more room for Diane. "we've all been talking about the baby shower! Have you thought about one?" Jihyo asked. Diane couldn't help but admire Jihyo a lot. Despite all negative comments on her appearance, she took it steady and healthily to lose weight. Not for the haters, but for herself to feel really good. That was an amazing skill to have. To be able to ignore what others say and do what's best for you.

Hesitating she eventually shook her head. "no, well. Not really. I have thought about names though. We're going to get a scan today to see how many there is." they all couldn't help but notice how when Diane sat down the bump was slightly there. Squeals erupted from the group as they all giggled and got excited at the sight. Picking up a tomato on her fork, she popped it into her mouth. Seconds after she regretted it as she hurriedly got up and went to the nearest bin, spitting out the tomato, as she gagged. Thankfully she wasn't sick, but it was horrible. A secure hand started rubbing her back and she looked up to see Jinyoung. Weakly she smiled at him, pulling a peace sign. "thanks." she murmured as he had already naturally held her hair back just incase. It took a second but she bent over again, being a tad bit sick. This only helped everyone see what a gentleman Jinyoung was. He didn't even comment or flinch, he just made sure she was decent. "Mark go grab me a cup of water please." He did so and hurried back with it.
Five minutes later Diane had recovered thanks to the help of Jinyoung and was acting as if nothing happened. Bless her. At least now she knew tomatoes were a no no. Returning back to her plate she saw all tomatoes had been removed. It was a gesture Diane was very grateful for. "alright. Do you guys have training soon?"
Nayeon shook her head, "we have a day off, but we don't have anywhere we want to go so we're just relaxing and making stupid dances for fun." Diane acknowledged this well, as she could understand what they meant. Even if it was their job to perform, if you loved it, it's an activity you'd do for fun. Sometimes she'd catch Heechul mimicking other singers, or they'd learn dances together. It was a leasure activity for them, especially when Diane found herself able to keep up with a guys stamina in any powerful dance. One of her favourites currently was mic drop but a slight remix by bts. They all continued to eat laugh and talk for quite a while.

"ahh I've got 2 hours until my scan!" Worry was evident, due to the small waver in her voice. Daehyun picked up on this and just hugged her tightly, kissing her cheek. "everything will be perfectly fine! I'm sure of it. The baby will be healthy, the only thing you need to worry about is whether you'd let me babysit or not. I really want to, desperately but Tzuyu made fun of me and said I wouldn't be able to!" Diane laughed and shook her head genuinely happy." I don't think I'd get anyone to baby sit until they're at least 1 year old. " That was sensible reasoning at the end of the day, it's hard for a parent to separate from their child.

The minutes ticked by, until it was eventually time for Diane to leave." I'm sorry guys! This was so much fun. I'll try come back later with Heechul. Have a nice day."
It was 12:42 and Diane was on her way to the hospital, being picked up by Leeteuk and Heechul in the car. "ah I'm so nervous!" she rolled her shoulders, clicking them before getting into the car. Turning her head she sat by Heechul, giving him a quick kiss before glancing around. Spotting the camera she waved at it, glad Leeteuk remembered she wanted the whole journey of this baby's life filmed. "okay I'm betting its twins." Leeteuk spoke up, glancing in the mirror to see their faces. Heechul bit his lip in thought. "I think it's a little baby girl. Just one. What about you sweetheart?" he asked, turning to face Diane. "hmm well the fact that I'm actually showing means it's probably twins orrrr triplets!" she giggled and relaxed in her seat.

Music blasted through the car as they all sang along, Heechul rummaging and finding their masks and coats to put on to look 'different'. By 1:05 they found themselves piling out of the car and trying to change their appearances so not many would recognise them. Grabbing her lovers hand, they started to head into the building. It's funny, Heechul didn't show it, but he was so scared and was fearing for the worst. So both of their hands were clammy, but they stuck together. Hiding their faces they went into the pregnancy ward and went to the office, speaking quietly. "Kim Diane for an appointment with Dr Samgi please." taking notes they passed Diane a bag full of books and leaflets and files. "you'll be using this over the course of your checkups and pregnancy." bowing her head in thanks, she walked over to the waiting room, leg shaking slightly. Leeteuk filmed this all, knowing it'd show just how real this experience was. Heechul spoke no words but wrapped his arms around her, kissing her forehead, holding her hand. This was his way of silently comforting her without drawing attention to them, as he knew that'd make it worse. They shared this common worry and fear with each other as well, but Diane knew they'd be fantastic parents!

Eventually they were called into the room, and there stood Diane's doctor. She was fantastic and assuring the pair everything will be alright, after all she's assisted with hundreds of pregnancies. "Afternoon! I see you've brought a friend to film it all! I love that. Now has anything worried you about your body? Any bleeding? Lumps?" She continued to ask a few more questions that Diane answered with no hesitation. Laying down Doctor Samgi started to get the cool gel and scan prepared, pressing onto Diane's stomach." alright. "she took a few seconds squinting at the screen." I see 2 healthy babies! " They were all in complete shock as a few tears rolled down Diane's cheeks." 2? We're so blessed. " Heechul gave her a loving kiss, wiping her tears as he gave a big grin." 2 children!" it was amazing.

"now I can tell you the genders now even though it's quite early so I might not be entirely accurate. Do you want to know now or when I can be certain in a month's time?"

Now that was a tricky question, Diane hesitated. "let's wait a month." Her doctor printed off the scan images, passing them to the couple. "congratulations."
