Omar's P.O.V
Omar stretched, sitting up. It was definitely morning. He could tell by the sun hittin the window. He got down from the top bunk and went to the dresser, checking his phone.
"Today's the day." He reminded himself. "September 30th." He looked at his Instagram, many notifications popping up about what he was gonna be performing tonight. This would be his first day with Y/N on tour. 'She's gonna see sooo many cool places!' He thought. He put his phone down and head to the bathroom to do whatever the wild Omar does. He soon got out, his hair wet. He walked out of the bunk room and into the small room.
"Where's Y/N?" Omar asked, scratching his head. Before anyone in the room could answer, Y/N came out of the kitchen part of the bus room with a plate of pancakes. "Breakfast is ready~!" She chimed, sitting them down on the counter. Omar looked at her. "You...can cook?" He was quite surprised.
"Yea! I've only just started to learn before I moved back, so sorry if they are a bit burnt!" She gave a cute smile, giving Omar small butterflies in his stomach. He got a Pancake with his hand and just ate it. Y/N walked over to him and sat down. "So today you're going to...-"
"Kenny Alley, Atlanta." Omar smiles.
"And that's...where?"
"Georgia. Shouldn't be much farther since we travelled all night." He spoke in a deep, tired voice. He finished his pancake as well.
"That was delicious. I didn't taate any burns."
"Ahhh thanks, but don't you want more?"
"Nah. Not hungry, but thanks!" He hugged her softly and sat back. "So...Didja dream last night?" Y/N suddenly asked him.
He gulped. The dream he had last night was surreal. All he remembers was sitting in a foggy field, the grass under him dead. He had seen weird colors in the distance, but they would just disappear. He shook his head and shuddered.
"...Omar?"
"H-Huh?" He snapped back to reality.
"Are...you okay?"
"Yea...just spaced out! Sorry! My dream was just...weird last night."
"I'm sorry to hear! I hope it wasn't too bothersome!" She pat his head, and he just gave a small smile.
"So wanna spend time helping me before we get to the concert?" As he asked, Y/N's eyes brightened. This was her first time and he couldn't help but grin at her excitement. "Yes!!!" She giggled and so did he. "Well, come with me. We need to go and help me practice my vocals somewhere where I won't disturb the others!"
~~~
It was finally evening. The day was eventful. Omar and Y/N had been practicing his vocals and he swore he saw her blush whenever he sang. He was flattered, but he didn't say he was. As the Sun was setting, the sky a rosy pink, Omar and co. headed down the alley. It was still empty. That was a good thing, because he didn't exactly like to be in big crowds, and neither did Y/N. As Omar passed, he saw a bar. He tensed up. 'No.' He told himself, 'You are trying to get better. Just focus on your career, don't hurt yourself.'
He finally reached the end of the wide alley, and found the stage. As he got on it and began to walk to the back, a voice called, stopping him.
"So you're the headliner." A person stepped out of the shadows the evening cast upon the building.
"And you're La Doña! Hey!" He approached La Doña and smiled, "I hope you have a wonderful time performing with me!"
He held out his hand.
La Doña hesitated nervously, but then smiled and shook his hand. "Likewise."
They chatted for a bit, getting to know each other. After a few minutes, Y/N came walking down the alley, towards Omar. "Omieee!!" You waved your hands and ran up to him. "You doing fine? Ready for tonight?"
Omar smirked, "As ready as I'll ever be!" They both high fived and laughed.
La Doña rolled his eyes, "Well, have fun until the concert, you two lovebirds. I'm gonna go practice." As he got up, Y/N protested, "We are NOT lovebirds!!" She made a look of disgust, which made Omar frown, but he shook it off.
"Yea! We are just really close! We are inseparable!" They hugged.
"Yea yea, Whatever you two Lovey doveys say...well, see ya!" He walked to the back of the stage, Omar blushing a little.
"What a tease." Omar chuckled nervously and rubbed the back of his head.
"Yea.."
Y/N was looking down.
"Hey, wanna help with the decorations, Y/N? I know how much you like to decorate!
"Sure!!"
Then they got busy.
~~~
"It's time for the main singer for this evening, everyone get loud for Cuco!"
The announcer called. Omar ran out from the back and to the front of the stage. He stared in awe at the fans that had joined tonight's concert. The light dimmed, and he nodded at the que.
The night was beautiful and colorful. Omar sang to his heart's content, joy flooding through him as he sang every word to his songs, looking back at Y/N every time the lyrics had meaning. When singing Feelings, he remembered the dream he had the other day. He remembered the old, dusty house, the locked door, and the atmosphere. He shuddered, and hoped his fans did not see him do so.
'What does it mean?' He asked himself as he finished. 'Why did I get the same vibes from my own song...?' This bothered him the rest of the night, but he finally shrugged it off in the end. As the concert came to a close, he went to go sign some autographs. Then, he and the others headed iver towards the bar.
"Hey Cuco! Want anything?" Esai called out to him. "Nah, I have water. I'm trying to keep clean, remember?" Esai just rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He chugged a modelo, "Suit yourself." Omar shook his head and looked away. He felt someone sit beside him. He turned to see Y/N.
"Oh hey!"
"Heya! May I ask something?"
"Sure."
"Well, during one of your songs, you looked...lost and confused. Your words kinda slurred, too. What happened?"
This made Omar freeze. He was scared that he had put on a bad performance. 'Oh no...she could see...what if the fans could see? Will they say something about it...?' He spaced out again.
"Omar!" She prodded at him. "I'm sorry, uh, I need to go get some rest." He stood up and began walking away.
"But Omar I didn't mean-" Y/N walked up to him. He turned, "Look, I'm just tired from the concert. We can talk plenty tomorrow. I'm sorry!"
"But--" She tried to speak.
"Please? It'll be easier."
She hesitated, but then nodded.
"Sure thing!"
"I knew I could count on you!" He hugged her and then turned, walking off faster. Thoughts whirled in his head, his face hot with embarrassment. 'I truly hope I didn't do anything wrong. Those dreams...why do I keep having them, though...?' He finally entered the bus and with that, he was off to bed.
