Y/N's P.O.V
"You're gonna wanna see this."
David pointed out into the horizon in Spain as they walked. Smoke billowed from a building.
"And just as we are about to have a concert, too."
Liano sighed. Omar walked beside You. He was holding some equipment for the concert.
"I'm sure it won't effect us, David."
"I guess you're right." David had seemed a little happier lately, but it was probably because he was selling one of his favorite shirts.
"How's the sales coming along?" You asked him nicely. The way he acted last night still made you upset, but he was in a much better mood today.
"They're fine! A little slow, but we are making progress! Would you like one?"
"I'll have to think about it. Until then, let's just get to where the concert is going to be held."
~~~
You were waiting for Omar after the concert. He had a hoodie over his head and he looked more tired.
"You okay hun?"
"..."
No response. This worried you. You didn't want to pry, so you kept quiet. As you travelled back to the hotel, you asked softly,
"How was the concert?"
"Tiring." He grumbled. This morning he seemed...okay. He had looked a tad stressed as of late and you wanted to comfort, but didn't know if he wanted affection.
"You can tell me what's going on-"
"Look, it's just stress. I'll probably be fine tomorrow. Just...don't speak."
His voice was gruff. All you did was nod solemnly. You came to the hotel, and you and him headed to the room. He went to the other bed without saying a word.
'Not even a Goodnight.' You frowned and lay in your bed. You wondered why he was acting like this. As you wondered, sleep crept up to you and swallowed you into it's world.
~~~
You woke up near a street. It was empty and dull. It gave you vibes of sorts, amd not the good type. The road looked old and broken, and so did the buildings that lined up next to it. There was one dead tree that caught your eye, and you walked over to it. Some purple-ish-pink petals fell from it, one landing in your hand and withering.
"Now what does this mean?" You asked yourself aloud, since nobody was around to hear your thoughts, or so you thought.
You heard footsteps coming from down the street, and you decided since this place was abandoned, it'd be best you hid. You ran to an alleyway to where nobody could see you, or whatever was running fast near where you stood.
"I can't take this pain anymore!!!" A voice called out. It must've been the thing you were hiding from. The creature wore a coat of sorts, old and ragged, with patches here and there.
You heard the sound of growling. Wait no-- it wasn't growling. It was a motor. The motor got louder as the wailing figure neared the road. You wanted to call out to it, but you didn't see any vehicle in sight. It can out into the road.
Thunk
The sound of physical contact between a being and a vehicle sickened you. You gasped in dismay and ran out to help the creature that lay on the ground. You turned the figure over.
"O-Omar..?" You trembled. Omar lay in your arms, blood running from his head.
"Omar talk to me!"
He didn't respond. He was dead.
You held back the sudden tears that began to appear. He started wilting, as if he were petals.
"Omar NO!"
His flesh began to cover with the light purple petals that had once wilted in your hand before. All you could do was stare as he withered away into petals. When all was finished, all that lay on the ground was petals in the shape of once lay a body. Tears of grief stained your cheeks, the dull sky above now becoming blue and beautiful. The feeling of relief washed over you, but you were too sick to care.
"Omar...please come back..." You looked up and lo and behold, the once dead tree that stood before you was now alive, petals as vibrant as the evening sky sat upon it. You became angry and ran over to the tree, shaking it as if the petals might fall, and so they did.
They swirled around you, some falling onto the ground or you. When they did so. They also found a way into your body, making you gag. All the petals that fell onto you now felt like anvils, amd you fell to the ground, right beside the place where Omar had been lying. All you could do was wait until the petals had asphyxiated you, and so they did and everything went to black.
~~~
You woke up, gasping. Instead of petals, fresh air entered your lungs. You were definitely relieved and looked around. Everything was okay. Omar was on the other bed, snoring and grunting. You did not want to wake him, but it tool every fiber of your being not to hug him.
You decided to get up and take a shower. After you had become squeaky clean, you exited the bathroom, bumping into Omar.
"Oof! So-"
Before you could get anything out, he growled,
"Watch where you're going, Y/N."
His tone was different, and it made you anxious. You decided to not say another word and get ready. When you were ready, he stormed out of the bathroom.
"Did you really have to use all the hot water?!" He snapped.
"I'm sorry I--"
"Can't you be a bit more generous next time and save some for me on these tours?!"
"I will try..."
"Not try, do. Don't worry, because there won't be a next time."
This made you worry.
"What do you mean there won't be a next time?!"
"You'll see."
~~~
Everyone was ready. They all gathered at the lobby, you and Omar joining last.
"Ah Omar there you are!"
Esai smiled, "Good morning you two! How did you sleep?"
"I didn't sleep all too we-"
"Fine."
Omar interrupted you. His voice cold. He pushed ahead of everyone, clearly ready.
"He wake up on the wrong side of the bed or somethin'?"
Esai leaned over to you and whispered.
"I really don't know. He's been like this since last night."
"Beats me. I've never seen him like this."
You and Esai shrugged it off. It wasn't long before what you two had shrugged off came back to you.
"Hey, you lot! I have something to say."
Omar snapped.
Everyone looked up at Omar. You wondered what he would say. Nobody spoke, so there was a pause. Omar finally broke the silence.
"I've decided that I'm tired of travelling. I haven't been resting well and I'm irritated as hell. I'm calling off the rest of the tour."
Everyone gasped in unison.
"Omar you can't! The fans--"
Liano called out. Everyone in the lobby looked at the group.
"I don't care right now. I want to go home. I can't take it anymore."
Those words rang through your mind. They were the exact same words he had yelled in your dream, making you gulp.
'Whatever is going on, I need to find out before Omar does somethung rash.' You thought to yourself.
'And quickly.'
Author's Note: Well that took long enough! So I'm sure y'all heard about Cuco taking a break and deleting his twitter. I don't know what's going on, but I sure hope he's going to be okay. Meanwhile since he's taking a break, I think I'm gonna take a break, too. Will y'all let me not forget this exists? Thank you. Have a safe day everyone and remember to take breaks!
