Omar's P.O.V
"Are you sure...?" Y/N gripped his hand tight as they walked down the steps.
"Positive. I've been waiting for this moment for a while." As he walked down, the dream he had last night still bothered him. He wasn't sure why he had had it, but if it meant something...he was scared to find out.
They stepped down the last step and walked into the livingroom. "Hey dad!" Y/N called out, making Omar jump a bit.
"Yea?"
Her father approached them.
"Omar would like to ask you something."
"And what is the question he would wanna ask?"
Omar stiffened. He puffed out his chest, trying to look as confident as possible.
"After thinking about this for a long time, I would like Y/N to join me whilst I tour. I will take care of her, so do not worry, she will be in good hands."
"..."
Her father looked at him, making him tremble. 'What if he says no? This'll completely destroy me...' He bit his lip while he awaited her father's answer.
"Dad, I'll be fine. We will keep in touch and I'll call you every night..."
Her soft, sad voice made Omar frown. Was this really a good idea? He didn't want to be the reason thry couldn't bond. 'But this means so much to me...it's been 9 years since I've seen her...I hope he understands...'
Her father sighed. "I knew a question like this was gonna happen, and no matter how much I brace myself, it seems to hit like a stone. Y/N." He turned to his daughter, his hands in his pockets. "Will you be safe and keep in touch with me?"
She nodded, "I'll do whatever I can to contact you! You know I'd never ignore you."
"Well...then I guess it's final. You are allowed to go."
Omar jolted in joy and, without thinking of it, embraced her father.
"Uhh...heh...Alright.." He awkwardly, patted Omar's back. Her father had always been like a second father to him. Omar realized what he did, and stood back, rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment.
"So...shall we start packing..?" Omar blurted out.
"I suppose. Let's-"
Before Y/N could finish, Her father spoke.
"Y/N. I want to give you something." He reached into his shirt-pocket and got a necklace, putting it around her. "It's something I had planned to give to your mother before she uh-" He looked down, and rubbed his nose.
"Dad...I know it still hurts, but you've been going strong. And, think of it this way: We will probably be back in a month!!"
"Heh...I s'pose."
"That's the spirit, father!" She hugged him and he embraced her, unlike what he did to Omar. Omar smiled, "So...we ready to pack? Or you to be fair."
"Yea!" She ran upstairs. "Wait for me!" Omar yelled and went with her. He stopped and turned, looking at her father. "Thank you, Thank you so much for this." Her father nodded. "Take care of her."
"I will."
