The plane ride was very relaxing. Gerry had coffee right after he got off the plane. He met up with the restaurant owner, Jake, before he leaves for Europe.

"Take care of the restaurant for me." Jake said.

"I will." Gerry responded and shook Jake's hand.

Jake boarded his private jet after his short talk with Gerry. He knew Gerry could manage. Gerry was the best in his field. Able to get the job done, always.

Opening night

"Gerry, great job, man." Harold said after entering the restaurant.

"Thanks." Gerry said to Harold. Harold is Gerry's best friend. He knows everything about him and Gerry knows everything about Harold.

"So, how's Amanda?" Gerry asked.

"Last night, I wanted sex and she wasn't in the mood. I mean, I haven't seen her in a week and she wasn't in the mood. She should be thanking that I don't have a mistress. Geez." Harold explained then ordering a glass of scotch.

"We've been married 12 years and I've been faithful, all I want is to make love to her and she can't even give it to me." Harold continued. Gerry was silent. He was feeling the same way. Lucy was cold to him the past few weeks. He hadn't had sex in a month but he wasn't thinking about forcing Lucy into it. He understood her, he was so caught up with work.

"You'll be alright." Was all that Gerry had to say to Harold.

Harold left after a couple of hours to take care of some meeting he had in Vegas.

Gerry was left at the bar, watching happy customers come and go.

"Macallan 25, please." The girl said to the bartender.

Gerry took a quick peek at the girl next to him.

My God. He thought. He has never seen someone so pretty.

He couldn't say anything. He was speechless. This hasn't happened to him at all. He always knew how to talk to women. Then he realized, he's married. He closed his eyes thinking about how foolish he was.

"You okay?" The girl asked.

Gerry didn't know what to do. He wants to talk to her so bad, get to know the story behind her pretty face. A part of him wants to say he's married but he couldn't. He was already in love with this girl.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Gerry said feeling slightly nervous.

"You don't seem fine thought." The girl said.

"What makes you think I'm not." Gerry said. He was enjoying this.

"Well, you had your head bowed down a while ago. Deep long breaths. Drinks? I think you're not fine." The girl said examining him.

He was already amazed by her. He wanted to continue this conversation but he doesn't want to say he's married and his problem was he was in love with this girl already.

"I am really fine. I'm just tired." He lied.

"Well, that, we can agree on." The girl said.

Gerry smiled at her. He knew he was in deep trouble, but he didn't care. He just wanted to get to know her and never end this conversation.

"I'm Katrina." She said offering her hand.

"Gerry." He said as he took her hand and shook it. He never want to let go. It just felt so right.

"And, what do you do, Gerry?" She asked.

"I manage." He said.

"Manage what?" Katrina asked as she carefully lifts her glass and sips on it.

"This restaurant." He admitted.

"Wow. That's pretty cool. I'm drinking with the man who runs this place." She said.

Gerry felt good to hear that. He didn't realize he was smiling up to his ears. He was so happy.

"How about you? What do you do?" He asked to keep the conversation flowing.

"I'm a photographer. I own a studio in New York but I'm here for a friend's bachelorette party on Wednesday." She said.

Gerry thought about what today is. Sunday. She's here until Thursday at most. Gerry was engaged with the thought of asking her out.

"I live in New York. This is awesome." He said.

"It is." Katrina said as she finishes her drink.

"Want another one?" He asked.

"If you'll pay for it then sure." She teased.

"Did you forget already that I run this place?" He fought back.

"Easy there, tiger." She said as she let out a chuckle.

She smiled at Gerry and he smiled back. Gerry hasn't felt this happy in a while. He felt different. He felt good. He wasn't even thinking about Lucy. He just wants to be with Katrina. She was perfect.

A few drinks later, Katrina cut the conversation between them because she needed to go home to the hotel where her friends were staying at.

"I need to go." Katrina said.

"So soon?" Gerry said.

"There's always tomorrow." Katrina said.

Gerry couldn't say a word. Katrina wants him and he knows it. He wasn't denying to himself that he wants her too.

"How about I pick you up at your hotel, say, lunch tomorrow?" Gerry said hoping that Katrina would accept his proposal.

"Sounds good." Katrina said.

"It was very lovely to meet you, Katrina." Gerry said.

"I feel the same way." Katrina said as she walked away from Gerry.

Gerry watched as she walked away from him, he couldn't wait for tomorrow. He just wants to look at her and see her smile. She was so full of life and stories. He felt alive like before. He wanted her more than he could ever imagine.

Uh, oh, Gerry's in trouble.
