1

Alone I was, the day we met. You came up to me; my head, now filled with rest.

2

You met me at the staircase once more, ever since, I was touched to the core.

3

We built a snowman, I remember. Cold we were. Hands frozen and feet unmoving with the white weather. But at that moment, there was
nothing truly better.

4

The third time, it was a new year. I noticed now, that you barely changed, my dear. How, I never thought this year would be a blessing.

5

Along came another one, and from then on we were the main three. Forever more, we climb high on trees, running against the green. Our youth, setting wild and free.

6

Soon, the lonely era and the days of dread
were no more.

7

Then on, we never aged. Laughed until our tummies went sore. Joked until things weren't funny-but then again, they always were. Gave and received. Helped and were helped. Shared everything we had;
and nicknamed ourselves.

8

More than friends, as anyone can see.
Like sisters, by blood. I truly believe.

9

We never faltered. Never fell apart.
I'll always be grateful, from my heart.
Even from the very start.

10

We shared memories. Still fresh in the mind.
I thought I would always be blind.
But isn't it crazy how two people can give me sight? See rainbows in things I never thought could have a colour? Imagine a lifetime covered in flowers?
I always thought life couldn't get any duller, but now, the world seems less smaller.
