Since now I am eighteen, I graduated from my high school at the top of my class and was named Prom Queen for the first time. Noah and I have our own house and I am at Parkside College on scholarship.

I come home from work and walk in the front door of my house and Noah is waiting for me there. He is dressed in his grey knit sweater and a pair of faded jeans.

“Hey there babe!” He holds me in his arms and kisses me very romantically, “Hey let’s go into the living room. I want to show you something.” He sweeps me off my feet and I squeal in both surprise and enjoyment. He takes me into the living room and sets me down on the chaise lounge.

He goes into our room and got something from the little antique jewelry box that my great-grandmother gave to me. He grabs a little velvet box. Oh my gosh, he’s going to propose!

“Celeste Nichole Thomas, I love you with all my heart and soul and I would love it if you would take this ring. Will you marry me?” He looks up at me with those green eyes.

I take the box from his hand and open the little velvet box. The base of the ring was white gold and there was little diamonds embedded into it. Atop the ring was a square diamond sitting on the ring. It was beautiful and I slipped it on my left ring finger and said, “Yes! I love you too!” After I say ‘Yes’, his whole face started to glow happiness.

We hugged each other and kissed each other passionately. Afterwards, we called our families and told them the good news. Noah and I wanted a spring wedding, sweet flowers and fresh scenery. As for college and work, I will have to take a few days off for our wedding and the honeymoon.

“So Desiree, I want you to be my maid of honor. I can trust you with anything. And you know what? Noah is keeping the honeymoon plans from me, he said he wants to make it a surprise. I love him so much, I can’t believe he picked me.”

“Well, Celeste, you are beautiful, kind, compassionate, intriguing, and very smart. You also are extremely creative and musically inclined, so I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t pick you, hon.”

Desiree and I talked weddings for hours until we arranged some appointments with flowers, cake, and dress. When I was thinking of the dress, I realized since that it was December and that the wedding was in March. I only have less than three months until my wedding.

I greeted Noah when he walked through our front door with a kiss and a leap into his arms, wrapping my legs around his muscular body. He shuts the door and sets down the bag of presents for our families, and brings us to the couch where we make out for a minute. I’m the one who pulls away, and he chuckles and says,

“Well, that was quite the greeting. I know I say this a lot, but I love you baby.” He smiles and kisses my lips again.

“I love you too. I don’t know who I would be without you, Noah. You are the one, and I am very sure of it, too.” I kiss his neck and he puts his face into my hair. We cuddle for a while, but we then get to work putting up our first tree together, decorate it, and wrap all of the presents for everyone.

I walk into the kitchen and start taking out some ingredients to make a batch of peanut butter cookies and I search up in the cupboard for a mixing bowl when I hear Noah say, “Damn, baby, you look gorgeous as always. And I still can’t believe that you picked me out of any guy out there.”

I turn around and said jokingly, “Well, babe, I picked you because I felt bad for you.” I start to giggle as his expression turns into a face of amusement.

He put his hand to his heart and replied, “Ouch! That really hurt baby. I’m gonna have to get you back for that.” I stick out my tongue and turn around, thinking he was joking, and he comes over by me and starts to tickle me.
