[This is the second book of the "Mrs. Mafia" trilogy]
It's been two years since Napoleon DiStefano was born and it's all been absolutely amazing for Apollo and Arabella DiStefano. The family has been the happiest since they lost a vital member, peop...
"Serafina and Viola? They love staying with their dad—"
"They can barely speak Allegra," I growled "you're a mother and you cannot go to every party there is, you are also a wife; you can't just forget about that when you put on your tight skirts."
"You're also a mother and a wife and you go to parties," she complained.
"My husband is a Don, those parties are not out of fun," I walked around the desk and sat down at Apollo's chair "I miss my son whenever I'm away from him, don't you miss your daughters?"
Allegra gazed at me "I need a rest from being a mother!"
"You need a rest?" I chuckled bitterly "Did you know that Mariano takes the twins to work?"
"So?" She shrugged.
"Alright," I smiled "take Viola and Serafina to school for a day."
"It's differe—" she started.
"No," I raised my voice "I'm sorry Allegra but you are no longer the only person you have to worry about, you have obligations and responsibilities."
"I didn't want this life, Arabella!" She exclaimed.
"What?" I heard Mariano's voice so I stood up to find him by the door holding his two daughters in each arm and my son had his arms tightly around his uncle's neck "Arabella, can you take the children to the living room?"
I approached him and took the kids before exiting the office "Do you want to go play with the doggies?" I cooed to them.

"What's going on Allegra?" I played with my marriage band anxiously "what do you mean about not wanting this life?"
My wife rubbed her face frustrated "I didn't want all of this to happen so fast, I wanted to travel, have time live with you alone, go to sleep at 5 am if I wanted—"
"We don't always get what we want," I said calmly "but we have two beautiful daughters who love you more than—"
"I need a break," she stated.
I nodded "We can go wherever you want as soon as you finish your exams, I'm sure Arabella will be more than willing to take care of Se—"
"No," she interrupted "I want to go alone."
I frowned looking down at my hands "I don't understand, why?"
"Because I need a break from being a wife and a mother; I want to be Allegra DiStefano again and feel free."
My eyes started watering and I just nodded "Okay, we'll be here waiting for you," when I looked up she was already leaving the room "I love you," the door behind me closed.

I'm getting it tonight, I don't fucking care.
Arabella has been impossible to fuck lately because she's always tired and I get it, I'm also tired but I want to be intimate with my wife after working my ass off.
Although if she says no then it's no because her slaps and punches hurt...a lot. I bought her a gift so maybe I can bribe her with it.
When the car stopped in front of my home, I jumped off the vehicle and rushed into the house holding the velvet box. It's 2:30 am so my son should be asleep already. The first thing I did was going into Napoleon's room to kiss him goodnight and after, I rushed into my bedroom where I found something you don't want to see: my shirtless best friend hugging my wife's waist tightly and crying between her breasts.
Arabella put her hand up for me to stop because I was angry-walking towards them "Mariano, I'll be right back," my wife said softly as she slipped out of Mariano's arms. Ew, never thought I would say that.
She pulled me out of the bedroom by my tie and closed the door before speaking "Something happened."
I rose an eyebrow "What could be the excuse for my best friend to be holding onto you for dear life while I'm—" she slapped me across the face "ouch..."
"Non ci andare," she growled.
(Don't go there.)
I sighed deeply "I'm sorry, it's just that he's getting more action from you then I am."
Arabella placed her hands on her waist and looked down muttering in Italian before looking up into my eyes "It's about Allegra."
"What about that brat?" I crossed my arms.
"Wait here," she went into our bedroom and came back with a paper in her hand "read this."
I handed her the velvet box in exchange for the paper.
Mariano, For two years I've been living a life that doesn't feel like my own; this doesn't mean that I don't love our daughters or you but I have to have one last big adventure on my own before dedicating my life to you and them. I hope you can find it in your heart to one day forgive me. Love, Allegra.
"That little brat," I growled and gave my wife the paper before entering my bedroom "Mariano," I lay down on my wife's side of the bed and my best friend immediately hugged me "it's alright," I rubbed his back "you're going to be alright," when I looked up my wife wasn't by the door anymore.
What the hell is going around this house?
