Can I See You? - Chapter 2

Jisoo didn't know much about softball. There was a lot of girls in the field and there was some running and a ball and a baseball bat. What Jisoo focused on was Jennie. The school softball uniforms were red, black and white. And the tight uniform looked incredible on Jennie's body. Jennie was both fast and strong which meant her positions varied. Sometimes she was the pitcher and sometimes a catcher. Irene was at the second base. Jennie's jersey had number 13 on it and Irene's had 22.

Lisa stood next to Jisoo and she waved at Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung was the captain. She was on first base and she merely smirked back at Lisa.

"Are you and Chaeyoung dating?" Jisoo asked.

"Nah," Lisa replied and shrugged. "We haven't really spoken since the party but I think I might ask her out. Chaeyoung herself said that she doesn't just sleep around with people."

Jisoo nodded and glanced at June who was a few feet away, cheering for his sister and hopefully not listing to their conversation. "We need to celebrate after the game. How about we go to the Dropship? I can send June home." His name was whispered but the crowd was loud anyway.

"He's cool," Lisa said and waved her hand. "Let him come with us. Hang out with the cool kids for a change."

Jisoo rolled her eyes and then her attention went back on the field. "Go Jennie," she yelled loudly and whistled. It caused Jennie's head to rise and their eyes met. Jisoo smiled widely and yelled again.

Lisa laughed and cheered along, throwing a few shouts for Irene as well. Jennie and Irene worked really well together. They predicted each other's movements. The team was generally really good. And they were winning. Jisoo forced Lisa and June to perform a wave but it looked ridiculous with only three people. Of course Suho came to watch the game but his hands were crossed over his chest and he was definitely not going to participate in something as embarrassing as that.

To Jisoo the game dragged and everyone around her on the bleachers understood what was happening. Except for Jisoo. It wasn't that she hasn't tried to understand the game because Jennie has walked her through positions and rules many times. She only ever watched them for Jennie and Irene.

"We won!" Lisa yelled in Jisoo's ear.

"I can see that!" Jisoo yelled back, amusing Lisa in the process.

The team shook hands with the opposite team before marching into the changing rooms. Jisoo, June and Lisa left the stadium. None of them had the driver's license yet so they depended on either walking or others. Irene was usually the fastest when it came to changing and she was outside wearing skinny jeans and a black tank top in just a few minutes.

"Good game," June said and grinned at Irene.

Irene ruffled his dirty dark hair. June might have had a slight crush on her and Irene was definitely aware. "Thanks, kid. Now let's wait for your sister. She takes forever."

"Dropship?" Jisoo offered.

Irene smiled and nodded. "Definitely. Where did Suho go?"

"Bathroom," Lisa sang. "He's getting old, can't even hold his pee in for more than 20 minutes. Weak."

"Hey!" Suho yelled. "I'm your ride if you actually want to go anywhere."

"And how do you plan on squeezing six people in a car for five?" Irene asked.

Suho shrugged. "That's for you decide. I can't stay for the hot gossip though. I promised Bogum we'll hit the gym after the game."

Irene huffed. "If he's shirtless I want to be there."
