Ryan walked into the Alvarez apartment after knocking without anyone answering the door.
"Elena! Guess what!"
Elena was sitting at the kitchen table, going through paperwork.
"What's up, chico?"
"My art teacher is gonna put one of my pieces in the upcoming exhibit at my school!"
Elena stood up, squealing. "This is great! We should go out for ice cream to celebrate!"
Ryan smiles. Elena goes into a hallway and comes back with Aidan. Both of them in more casual clothes than before. Elena in her flannel and Aidan in a T-shirt with a math pun.
"Aidan, mijo, grab my purse."
Aidan goes to the closet by the door.
"Which one?"
"The black one. Grande, sí?"
Aidan pulled down four purses that matched that description. Elena sighed and grabbed a different one out of the closet that was not black.
"Ay, mijo, mira. Esto."
Aidan rolled his eyes. "Tú dijiste negro y grande no morado!"
Elena rolled her eyes. Ryan smiled and followed her out the door, Aidan locking it with his key.
