jisung smiled softly to himself, setting down his phone as he looked at his ice cream and took a bite. the younger held onto the spoon, looking down at the ice cream bowl as he started to think, "second date and pets?" he questioned in his mind, "oh my god, the pet shelter!" the answer flashed in his mind as if it was like a light bulb.

the younger then hurried on finishing his ice cream, as he had to get to the pet shelter and see what minho had in store for him.

1:30 pm

"i never realized how far the pet shelter was from the ice cream polar." the boy thought in his mind, opening the doors to the shelter.

"finally, you made it." seungmin said as he walked over to jisung, "it took you ages."

"well i'm sorry that i didn't bring a car to drive." jisung sassed the younger, "why did minho bring me here?"

"because it's the next part of the scavenger hunt, silly." the younger said, as he then handed jisung a piece of paper, "i'm supposed to give you this, by the way."

jisung glanced at the paper, opening it and finding words taking up the entire note. seungmin smiled softly at the boy, "i'll leave you to read that." he said, patting the boy on his back before leaving the shelter.

jisung walked over to a chair, sitting near the cat cages. the boy then read the note, from top to bottom.

do you remember our second date and how it happened? it wasn't even supposed to happen, or even be considered a date.
it was late at night, and i had called you crying, telling you that doongie ran away and i looked around the entire neighborhood in search for her, but couldn't find her at all. you calmed me down over the phone, telling me to go back inside my house and that you'll be over in a little bit. that night, you stayed with me and kept telling me that we'd find doongie, you promised me we would.
the next morning, you suggested we go to the pet shelter, just incase somebody rescued her and took her there. once we went there, you immediately pointed her out and told me, "i promised you we would find her, and look who we found!" — that moment made me really happy. i remember thanking you, and you nodded your head as you told me, "i told you so, jisung knows best." which made me laugh.
i'm not sure how it ended up turning into a date, but i think it's because you got really attached to one of the cats in the shelter, and wanted to play with it, so we did. then, we ended up buying a new toy for doongie and took her home and played around with her. before you left that night, i gave you a big hug, thanking you, and telling you that you're my lucky star. i still believe you're my lucky star, since i don't think we would've found her without you. so, thank you baby. thank you for that random date— and for being the reason we found doongie.
