"Am I intruding?"
I quickly got a pillow and hit him playfully on the head with it.
"You almost killed me. I was scared to death, at least tell me when you decide to turn up."
He laughed. "Noted."
"Why are you here. I thought you were staying in a room in your school with your mates."
"Yeah... about that."
"What happened."
"They kicked us out." he stated.
I put my head in my hands. "Why did they kick you out! Now I'm going to have to look after you."
"One of my mates got caught drinking on site."
I slapped his arm. "Did you drink?!"
He nodded. "Ahh, damn it, your underage, don't do stupid things like that."
"Kun told me you got fired from your job. So, you must have done something stupid yourself."
Aishhhhh. "When did you see Kun? That's none of your business to know that."
"Earlier today. He dropped by and found me instead of you."
This was too much. "What did he do here?"
"Well, because you weren't here, pretty much nothing. He waited for you for like, half an hour. Then couldn't wait anymore so left."
I sighed.
"Which room do you want?"
"I get to choose?"
"No. I don't know why I asked that."
"So, I get the spare room?"
I nodded. "When you were five you used to have to sleep in my bed with me because you kept having nightmares. But look at you now, all grown up."
"That was dads' fault. It's still in the back of my mind."
"Sorry I shouldn't have brought it up, now my memories are coming back." I laughed it off.
"What stuff have you brought then?"
"Just pillows and my school textbooks."
I scoffed. "That's it? Your easy to look after."
He nodded. "I am a perfect brother after all."
"You wish."
"You know where everything is, right?"
"Yup. Same place as always I guess."
I nodded. "Go to bed its late."
"Yes mom."
"Keep that up if you want this pillow thrown at your head,"
He shut his door and I sighed collapsing on the sofa. Why now. I now had to try and earn even more money to feed both of us. I'm guessing Lucas would just pay me at the end of each week or something.
