Regina crossed her legs and looked at mother superior. "Is snow alright?"
Mother superior nodded. "The potion worked. She's fine. You however will not be if you keep running towards the danger." She snapped.
Regina looked down. "I just want to do something to help. I've gone most of my life being absolutely no help to anyone."
Mother superior walked over to Regina. "There are other ways to help that doesn't involve putting your life at risk."
Regina leaned on her arms. "How am I supposed to help people who need my blood if I'm not allowed to give them my blood?" She asked.
"You know what? As soon as you have this child I'll allow you to do whatever you want, but I made a promise to help you. And that's exactly what I'm going to do." Mother superior stated.
Regina sighed and crossed her arms. "I don't even know when I'm due."
Mother superior crossed her arms. "Do you care?"
Regina raised her eyebrow. "Yes! Of course I care."
"You're nearly eight months along. If you keep this up you'll stress yourself into early labor. Do you want that?"
Regina rolled her eyes and Sat cross legged. "No." She mumbled. "I guess not."
"Good. I mean it your majesty. You need to start taking care of yourself." Mother superior said.
Regina looked down and sighed. "That's hard. It's so hard to take care of ones self when they don't care about what happens to them."
Mother superior stopped in her tracks. "Regina? What are you talking about?" She sat on the bed in front of her and placed her thin hand on Regina's knee. "You can talk to me."
Regina wiped a tear away quickly. "It's nothing. I just-" she looked up at mother superior. "I was taught from a young age that I was nothing. So there's not really much that I care about when it comes to myself." She said.
Mother superior looked at Regina. She pitied the girl in front of her. She has been through so much. Sure she has done terrible things but she was young. She did all of these things under the influence of someone else. Who knows how much of the ideas were actually hers. "Well if it means anything your majesty, I don't hate you."
Regina let out a forced laugh and shook her head. "You're lying. Everyone hates me. And I don't blame them. I hate me too. I've killed villages of people. Innocent people. They didn't deserve that. I ran after Snow White her entire life for a secret so shouldn't have even known about. She didn't deserve that. She didn't deserve to give up her daughter because of my selfish plan. She didn't deserve to live in fear in her own kingdom."
Mother superior placed her hands on top of Regina's. "Regina! Breath, okay? You've apologized to Snow. She forgave you. David May never forgive you but at least he knows you're trying. The people of the kingdom are selfish and blood thirsty. That's not your fault. You don't deserve to love your life hating yourself Regina. There is only one you. You have to take care of yourself. Because like it or not Regina, you're going to be happy. Maybe not today. Maybe not for a long time, but one day you'll be happy and all of this heartache will be worth it."
Regina let out a shaky breath and nodded. "You think that'll happen?"
"I know." Mother superior said. She stood up. "Rest Regina. It'll all be okay." She said and walked to the door. "I must check on the queen. Stay here. It'll be alright. I promise. I made a promise to keep you safe and that is a promise I intend to keep." She said and walked out of the room.
Regina looked at the door. "Thank you." She whispered. She looked at her stomach. "One day." She whispered. "One day you'll have a happy mother."
