Schizoid

Call him an introvert,
he's been that way since birth.
Attempting to change him
would be absurd.
He's became comfortable
with being taciturn,
often ignores concern.
Silently being different
is the only subject where he excels.
Everybody wants to relate,
he just wants to express himself.
But that's complicated when
his range of emotions
sits on the shelf.
Only a few people that life spares.
Not him,
but almost everybody else.
