Chapter 13 - All Back Together

Lukas: "Jesse! Wake up! Please wake up!"

Olivia: "Lukas, It's been days and she's barely moved."

Lukas: "I will not quit on her! Jesse!"

Petra: "Come on, Lukas. Let's go."

Their heads hung low as they walked out the room. Suddenly they heard a faint voice.

Jesse: "I told you I'd be ok."

They swiftly turned around.

Lukas, Petra, Olivia & Axel: "JESSE!!!"

They ran back into me and gently hugged me.

Jesse: "Where am I?"

Petra: "You're in a hospital. Back at home."

Jesse: "Where's Reuben?!"

Olivia: "He's Ok!"

Lukas: "He's getting checked over by some doctors. By some real doctors."

Axel: "He'll be here soon."

I tried to sit up.

Jesse: "Ow! Why does my arm and shoulder hurt?"

Axel: "You were stabbed."

Suddenly we heard Reuben in the hallway.

Jesse: "Reuben! I'm in here!"

I saw Reuben at the door

Jesse: "Reuben!"

He ran in and jumped on the bed. Tears of joy filled my eyes as I held him close to my heart.

Jesse: "I'll never leave you again! I promise!"

I had almost forgot what being happy feels like.

Jesse: "Axel. Do you still have the cookie?"

Axel: "Yep."

He gave it to me.

Jesse: "You deserve this Reuben."

I gave it to him. He shook his head and pushed it towards my mouth.

Jesse: "What's wrong, Reuben?"

Reuben oinked at me.

Jesse: "I deserve it more?"

He nodded. I halved the cookie. I ate one half and gave the other half to Reuben. I secretly gave him the bigger half. He ate it with a smile.

Jesse: "Someone tell me what exactly happened."

Axel: "After Hadrian stabbed you, I called a helicopter."

Petra: "A police helicopter came and arrested Hadrian."

Lukas: "And a medical helicopter came and brought us home. It also treated you on the way back."

Olivia: "We also brought home Lluna."

Jesse: "Where is she?"

Petra: "Seeing a doctor."

Then Lluna came in and smiled at me.

Jesse: "You're welcome, Lluna. I was happy to save you."

We heard Stella coming in too.

Stella: "Lluna?! Jesse? Are you ok?"

Jesse: "Better than I was."

Stella: "Thank you so much for saving my darling, Lluna."

Jesse: "Happy to help."

Stella: "Well we better go."

Jesse: "See you later, Stella. Stay safe, Lluna."

They left.

Jesse: "Lukas."

He came closer.

Lukas: "Yeah?"

I punched his shoulder.

Lukas: "Ow! Why am I always a punching bag all of a sudden?!"

Jesse: "That was for telling me that stupid story."

Lukas: "What?! I said I was sorry!"

I pulled him closer and kissed his cheek.

Jesse: "That was for saving me. Multiple times."

We all smiled.

Jesse: "Anyway. It's all over now. We are all back together. I love you all. What would I do without good friends like you?"
