Their bruises were healed almost instantaneously thanks to their oh-so-great-advantages, but if they hadn't the intricate purple would flower around Mason's left eye, Max's jaw would look unaligned. Mason's wrist would be fractured and Max's ankle would be a case far too gone.

We sat on the dining table, with the M&Ms on either side of me. Our heads were bowed down as Dad paced about the room, the consuming anger evident on his face.

"What have we said about fighting like that?" He asks after what seems like an eternity.

The twins sigh, "Don't do it or you'll take away our Netflix privileges."

"Is that what you want me to do now?"

"What? No? Oh God, please, no! It won't happen again, we promise!" Max rushes, Mason vigorously nodding in agreement.

"Well, guess who's not watching the new season of-" My father doesn't get to finish his sentence because Juliet walks into the room.

"What's going on? What's all this yelling for?" She asks and I know Dad is temporarily taken aback because of how she dons Mom's clothes.

"Nothing," Dad explains, "I'm so sorry if we bothered you, sweety." He ruffles her hair and she swats his arm away playfully.

She was doing better, it was evident in her bold and calm stride. I loved her and I wanted to help her right now, but I knew that's not what she wanted. Juliet, is so incredibly strong and independent. I know she wants to tackle this situation her way, and so the best I can do is just let her know that I'm here with all the cupcakes she needs.

"Which one of these idiots screwed up?" She says picking up an apple.

Protests spill out of our mouths instantaneously.

"Are you gonna let her get away with that?" I question my father, jokingly.

"That's not fair." Mase whines.

"Do not keep me in the same category as these little-" Max stops, probably considering now was not a good time to complete his sentence.

"I'm on her side." Dad says simply, shaking his head as grins, exiting the room.

I tell her what's going on and she listens, munching on her apple. Can she not move her lips that way when I'm trying to focus?!

Once I'm done she stares at all of us, casually taking huge bites out of her apple. We stare back hoping to get some reply.

"All right." Max loses it, grabbing the apple out of her hand and J bursts out in protests.

She narrows her eyes at him.

"Can I have a bite...?" Mason asks quietly and becomes the new recipient of Max's glare, "Or later, later is fine too."

"You know what?" Juliet snatches her apple back and takes the last bite before tossing the residue in the bin.

She actually got it in?! I've never been able to get it in.

I'm not jealous...

"Will you two stop acting like two little boys on a sugar rush fighting over which video game to buy?" She yanks the two by the collar. I slowly move behind her. Better to be on the safe side.

Obviously they're letting her take charge, otherwise no one (besides me, might I smugly add) could have any physical hold over them.

"You love Stella?" She asks Max, staring deadbeat into his eyes.
