I stand in front of the boy in front of me. He looked up at me and his eyes widened. I began to recite a line I practiced so many years. A line I waited so long to say.
"Jeremy Heere, welcome to your Super Quantum Unit Intel Processor, your SQUIP..." I smiled as he gasps. It feels so good to be back.
"Y-you look like-" He starts to say but I roll my eyes.
"I know who I look like, love." I say. "It's my default mode but you can also set me as: Batman, Kim Namjoon, sexy anime female–"
"YoUr deFaUlt mOde iS fIne!" He squeaks. Ah, such a wimp. "So, everyone c-can see you?"
"No, I only exist in your brain, all they see is you having an animated conversation with yourself. So, don't do that." I instruct. "Just think to me like you're telepathic."
"Like in X-Men?!" He says, excitedly.
"I see this is going to be difficult..." I purr. "So, you wanna be more chill?"
"Oh! You mean cool-" I turn around at shoot daggers with my eyes, I guess.
"Did I fucking stutter?" I say.
"N-no..."
"Now, let's get a move on and buy you a new shirt." I start to walk towards a store. He follows me. When we get into the store I scan the whole place for at least someone this boy recognizes.
