Jeremy tossed his phone on the space on the sofa next to him. He had called Michael a zillion times. He still hasn't returned from work. He was gone all night. And Jeremy repeatedly called and texted Michael. Jeremy glanced at the clock on the wall in front of him.

Noon. And he's not here.

Then Jeremy heard keys jingle from the other side of the front door. Jeremy sprinted to the door before Michael could find the right key. He pulled the door open, seeing a messy Michael.

"Jer! How are you, baby?" Michael said, hugging his husband, dropping his bag on the table next to the door.
"Where were you?" Jeremy asked, pulling away from Michael, arms crossed.
"I was at work, babe!" Michael closed the door behind him.
"All afternoon till now?" Jeremy said, eyebrows furrowing in frustration, lips forming a frown.
"Yes, baby," Michael kissed Jeremy's cheek, slipping past him to get a glass of water. Jeremy groaned, rolling his eyes as he plops himself onto the sofa again. "What's wrong, baby?"
"Where were you last night?" Jeremy grumbled.
"What was that, Jerry?" Michael downed the rest of the water and sat next to Jeremy.
"Where were you last night?!" Jeremy screamed. Michael flinched at the noise.
"I was at work, sunshine." Michael rubbed Jeremy's shoulder.
"You didn't go anywhere else for the whole day yesterday until this afternoon?" Jeremy angrily said.
"Baby..."
"Well?" Anger flowed out with Jeremy's words. Jeremy was especially scary when mad. The only time Jeremy was ever scary anyway.
"Baby, I didn't go anywhere else." Michael smiled, wanting to at least calm Jeremy down. Michael felt like he could cook anything spicy with Jeremy's anger.
"You sure?" Jeremy's eyes narrowed.
"I-I'm sure, baby," Michael smiled. Jeremy studied Michael's face and raised his eyebrows.
"Liar." Jeremy deadpanned. "What are you hiding, Michael?" He said Michael's name with so much suspicion and anger that Michael's eyes widened in shock. Jeremy- Jeremy was never this mad, especially not at Michael.
"Jeremy, I didn't do things that were absolutely unprofessional at work..." Jeremy frowned.
"You're talking like you're in a meeting. You're obviously lying." Jeremy said. "Just tell me the truth, godammit! Why couldn't you answer the phone?" He yelled.
"It died," Michael said.
"Another lie, you always bring your charger with you even if you're going out for a few minutes."
"I forgot it this time, okay? Can you just stop asking me about work?" Michael said in frustration.
"I searched this whole godamn house and your charger's not here, try again." Jeremy looked away for a few seconds. Then he looked back at his husband, his eyes almost emotionless. "And, no, I won't stop asking until you tell me."
"I got fired, okay?" Michael yelled. "I. GOT. FIRED." Jeremy's eyes softened.
"I-" Jeremy stuttered but Michael continued.
"I wasn't gonna tell you because you'd be disappointed. So, I went out after I got kicked out. So, I went to release some steam and I went to a bar." Michael breathed in. "I bought a bottle of beer and went to the bathroom... And then flashbacks kept coming, the nightmares, all of it came back to me, Jeremy. Then I guess from being super drunk I passed out for a couple of hours. Then I woke up with a massive headache and someone woke me up telling me that I need to get out. So, I called Jake to pick me up. Then I slept a few hours at Jake's place. Then I asked him to drive me back home and that leads us to here."

Jeremy stood there, silent. Michael looked up at his husband.
"I decided that I should start looking for a job." Michael shruged.
"I- Michael, I'm sorry-" Michael smiled at Jeremy.
"It's okay, you had the right to be suspicious, I was gone for almost a whole day." Jeremy smiled back.
"I'm sorry for being so angsty these days, babe..."
"It's normal. You're on your puberty stage-" Michael laughed when Jeremy gave him a glare. "Any job suggestions for me?"
"Chloe and Brooke's café, sells the best coffee and the best frozen yogurt ever." Jeremy gushes. He goes there often, coming back home smelling like strawberries and coffee.
"I'll try. You should get a job too, ya know." Michael smiled, pulling off his tie.
"I was thinking about it," Jeremy shruged, snuggling into Michael.
"You know where you should work?"
"Where?" Jeremy sighed, content.
"Evan's flower shop! Besides maybe you could draw some flowers and sell the drawings to customers! Wouldn't that be nice?" Jeremy giggled as Michael dragged him onto his lap, pressing kisses all over Jeremy's neck.
"Y-yes, I guess it would." Jeremy smiled. Michael hides his face in the crook of Jeremy's neck and breathes in the smell of strawberries.
"Did you stop by the café today?" He asked.
"Nope," Jeremy said with a happy tune. "Jared just gave me a new bathbomb, he told me you would like it." Jeremy shruged.
"And he was right, I do like it. A lot." Michael presses a kiss on Jeremy's neck again. "Geez, you're addicting..." Jeremy laughed.
"You smell like c-cigarettes," Jeremy stuttered when Michael licked a spot on Jeremy's neck. "D-did you get high?" Jeremy whimpered as Michael nibbled on his neck. Then Michael bit down hard. Jeremy almost screamed from shock as he held onto his husband's shoulders tightly.
"Maybe I did..." Michael bit and sucked on Jeremy's neck, leaving purple and red marks.
"M-Micha?" Michael hummed, letting Jeremy know he has his attention. "Can w-we not do this right now?" Jeremy asked.
"Sure. Did I do something wrong? Did I go too quick?-" Jeremy rested his chin on Michael's fluffy hair.
"No, I just wasn't feeling it today..." Jeremy sighed happily. "Why did you get fired?"
"I was getting lazy... I just, didn't have enough ideas to give in a short time. Then my boss noticed and kicked me out."
"Are you gonna get a job at the café?"
"Of course! It's amazing!"
