REILA’S POV

“Sweetie, are you sleeping?” my mom is calling me outside the door of my room. “Hmmmm...yes mom, just woke up”

“Buksan mo itong pinto, andito na pala yung magbabantay sa iyo. Lumabas ka na at nang makilala mo siya.” Well I guess nandito na pala yung taong yun. “I really hope he’s not going to be an a** at pagbawalan ako sa mga gagawin ko” nasa isip ko while fixing myself up kasi I am sure my laway pa ako from sleeping (eww lang).

“Yes mom I am coming.” while I am putting on my long sleeve shirt and a not-so short denim shorts at lumabas na din nang kwarto to see my mom waiting for me outside. “Sorry sweetie for waking you up?!?” mom is giving me the puppy eye while saying those words.

“Don’t worry mom, I was just taking a nap.” hindi ko talaga matiis pa ganyan ang gestures ni Mommy. Super cute and loving.

I know I didn’t introduce myself sa first chapter, kasi si author nakalimutan #_# (a/n: sorry po), I am Reila Harper Alcantara. Most people I know call me Reila but my friends call me either Rei or Ela. Hindi naman ako masyadong kagandahan pero may maipapapagmalaki naman kahit papano, syempre halo-halo na yung ancestry ko diba. I am 18 years old graduating in highschool. Kunting tambling na lang magka college na ako. And as what I’ve said earlier, I am running for valedictorian. So pressure lang diba, pero hindi naman ako pinipressure nang parents ko. I love studying, (don’t cringe people!), I like reading and listening to music. At kahit medyo may kaya kami sa buhay, my parents trained me not to depend on everyone specially sa mga katulong namin. So alam ko ang mga household chores at marunong din akong magluto. In short, pwede na akong mag-asawa!! Joke lang, patayin ako ni daddy niyan. Anyway, back to the story na tayo.

So mommy is holding my hand while walking sa hallway nang bahay papuntang living room. Kinakabahan ako for some reason, inignore ko nalang ano ba dapat kabahan, ipapakilala lang naman. I saw the guy’s back while talking to my dad.

“O, andito na pala sila!” dad stood up after realizing we are behind them already. The guy stood up at tumingin sa kinaroroonan namin ni mommy and for some crazy reason, biglang bumilis yung tibok nang puso ko at nagslow motion ang lahat. Nasa harap ko na siya at “Hi, I’m Garrett Andrew Crisostomo, nice to meet you.”  inilahad niya yung kamay niya. Napatingin ako sa kamay niya “Anak, he said ‘hi’.” pukaw ni dad sa akin at unconsciously accepted his hand. “Hi, am Reila Harper, nice to meet you to--too.” nakakahiya!!! nabubulol kong sabi.

He’s gorgeous!! Ano ba yan, kebata bata pa naglalandi na..but yup, he is gorgeous. He is wearing long sleeve shirt that he pulled up that show his manly arms and denim jeans that he folded to make it look like a pedal pants that make him oh so sexy. Ang landi na talaga. I can’t believe such thing exist and take note, nagmatching pa kami nang tops. Crush ko na yata si Kuya. And then my mom help me sit with them in the couch across him and I am between mom and dad.

“So since you finally meet, wouldn’t you mind sweetie showing Garrett to his room while me and Manang Teresita ay maghahanda nang dinner?” mom finally broke the silence and awkwardness that was happening in the room. “Don’t worry anak, nasabi ko na ang mga instructions ko kay Garrett about his stay here and how is he going to be your guardian for the mean time.” sabi naman ni dad.

“Do I have to hear any of those instructions or talaga lang wala na akong choice kung ano man iyon?” pagtataray kong tanong sa daddy na medyo made me regret doing it kasi sumeryoso yung tingin nang dad ko. “I’m sorry dad.” I finally said it.
