I Need You

Luke: Today was your two year anniversary with your boyfriend, Luke. You decided to spend that day at the local zoo. Currently, you were watching the seal show. You couldn't help but laugh at the sounds Luke would make every time the seals did anything. With each trick, he would squeeze your thigh and ask if you saw. It was getting annoying, but you couldn't crush his happiness. Instead of snapping at him, you'd just smile and nod your head. He was too engrossed in the show to notice that you didn't share his level of enthusiasm.

After the show, the two of you decided to get lunch. As you ate, you discussed the other animals you would see. You had already seen the cats, and you were well aware of where Luke would want to go next. You thought it was cute to see Luke's face light up when he talked about his favorite animal, so you asked, "Where do you want to go next?"

"The penguins! They finally came back, so we have to go."

"They finally came back? Where did they go?"

"They started rennovating the exhibit a year and a half ago, and today is the first day that the exhibit is open."

"Weird how we just happened to come to the zoo on the first day the penguins are open." You gave your boyfriend a suggestive look, and a mischevious look glinted in Luke's eyes. "You didn't plan this at all, did you?"

The smile on his face was adorable as he replied, "Nope, not at all. Happy coincidence, I guess." Luke had always been a bad liar, and you knew right away he knew exactly what he was doing when he planned this.

"That's good because I don't think we'll have time to make it to the penguins today."

"What? But we have to! I've been waiting 552 days to see them!"

You couldn't help but laugh at Luke's distress. "I'm kidding! Of course we're going to see them."

"Oh my gosh, you're literally the best girlfriend ever!"

You laughed and got up to throw away your trash. "Come on, loser. Let's go see these penguins." Luke squealed like a little girl as you walked out of the restaurant. He practically dragged you through the zoo by your hand. Upon arrival at the penguin house, he dropped your hand and ran to the glass.

He pressed his palms to the cool surface and gazed longingly at the animals swimming there. You stood next to him, leaning your shoulder against the glass. As much as you loved penguins, you loved seeing Luke this happy more. So you kept your gaze trained on your boyfriend's face and the dimples that dented his face.

His eyes were tracking penguins constantly, flitting around like fireflies. His mouth hung open in awe, and you giggled. "Are you going to be okay, Luke?"

He didn't even seem to hear you. His eyes kept following the penguins as he breathed out, "I need you." You burst out laughing, which finally caught his attention. He turned towards you and asked, "Are you laughing at me?"

"Maybe I am. What are you going to do about it?"

"Oh, don't worry. I'll make you pay later when there aren't so many people around to hear your screams..." He leaned in close to your ear and whispered, "...or moans." You bit your lip as he pulled away and turned his attention back to the penguins. His arm wrapped around your waist, and you couldn't help your mind from wandering to exactly what was going to happen upon your arrival at home.

Calum: Every Saturday, you and the 5 Seconds of Summer boys would Skype. Today, your interaciton had to occur while the boys got ready for the American Music Awards. The boys were beyond hyped: Michael was sitting in front of the mirror intently fixing his hair, Ashton was drumming on every surface available, Luke was hugging his stuffed penguin like his life depended on it, and Calum was furiously looking through his closet.
