It was day two of this shit show, and me and Ray were currently heading towards breakfast. Since it was a casual affair, unlike the dinners, I'd opted for a cream button down tucked into flaring office pants and Ray was in a blue shirt tucked into black pants. He was quite literally vibrating with happiness (something about seeing his mate after 'forever') and Violet was yipping away in my head. Ray's limp from training had healed and he was walking normally...well skipping was more like it.

"Ray, for the Selene's stake stop bouncing!" I groaned, "It's too early for you to be this happy!"

"I'm gonna see mate, I'm gonna see mate," he kept singing and I gave up. So much for the so called image my gamma-female was worrying about. With my beta acting like a kid going to the candy store and my brooding expression, we totally looked like the face of a great pack.

"Hey gloom and doom, I can literally feel you being sarcastic in your head," Ray teased bumping my shoulder. I stuck out my tongue at him.

"Why hello there!" a familiar voice called out interrupting us. My head snapped to the blonde Beta and her mate as a grin took over my features.

"Annabeth!" I greeted happily, hugging the fierce female as she came towards me. I released her and threw a smile at her mate, "Good morning Frank".

"Good morning Lun-uh Alpha? Uh Alpha-female?" Frank stuttered, scratching his neck awkwardly.

"Willow is fine, Frank" I said grinning at the reddening beta, while Annabeth rolled her eyes at him.

"Ummm, hello?" Ray greeted, eyeing them suspiciously.

"Guys, meet my beta, Raynold William Crowe. Ray meet the beta and beta female of the Wolfsbane pack, Frank Leonard Johnson and Annabeth Marie Pietro-Johnson," I introduced them and Violet felt so content that her families were meeting.

We aren't family with that pack Vi, I chided.

Mate's pack, our pack, she shot back and I decided to leave it at that.

We all headed towards the sun room where breakfast was to be held for the duration of our stay. My eyes involuntarily searched for a pair of silver eyes, and found them already settled on me. My mate sent me a devilish smirk and I returned it with an equally evil one. He nodded towards the seat beside him, but I shook my head. Only paired mates sat together, and as Alpha I already had my seat. Which I headed towards, and Ray followed me. Funnily enough we were seated opposite each other. We stared at each other, refusing to break eye contact as amethyst and silver clashed. The connection was broken as Ray tapped my shoulder, calling my attention. I ripped my eyes away from the commanding Alpha and gave Ray a questioning look. He beamed at me before leaning back in his chair, allowing my gaze to fall upon a petite brunette.

"Willow, I'd like you to meet my mate Natasha Evergreen, and Tasha, this is my Alpha, Willow." Ray introduced still beaming.

"Hello," she greeted waving at me shyly. How odd. Wolves with Alpha blood running through them were hardly shy. Her whole appearance screamed submissive from the light brown hair, coffee brown eyes to the yellow sundress. I didn't mind submissive wolves. They were needed in a pack. But in a beta-female of a very large pack? Let's see how this goes.

"Hello Natasha, welcome to the Moonclaw pack," I greeted warmly. She blushed and hid behind Ray, mumbling a thank you. I wanted to throw my beta a look, but he was gazing down at her lovingly. Oh well, as long as he was happy.

The grand doors opened and the royal family walked in. We all stood up in respect as they arrived fashionably late (bloody attention seekers). This was the official first meeting since last night was just a get-together for the packs. First Princess Celeste walked in, followed by the three princes, Prince Valentin, Prince Calvin and Prince Leonardo. As they took their places, King William and Queen Victoria presented themselves, arm in arm, as they stood at the head of the table.
