Five's pov

"I should've came sooner." I cry as y/n's eyes close.

Her body lays there as the remaining blood in her mouth drips out of her. I've seen many bodies in the apocalypse but I killed a good amount of persons too. None of the bodies made me feel this bad.

I look at y/n's blood on my hands and it makes me want to vomit. I did this. If I came back to her earlier it wouldn't have happend. This wouldn't have happened. Y/n would still be alive.

Her body wouldn't be laying in a pool of her very own blood right now.

"I'm going to save you." I say as I stand up.

I don't think that I've ever time traveled as fast as I am doing now. I need to see y/n's face. Her wide smile and eyes that light up when she sees me.

Wanting the image of y/n her bloodied body laying in front of me to disappear, I close my eyes but it doesn't work. The image doesn't fade away.

I time travel to a few hours before. . Y/n her death. Even though I got sent away by her father, I still kept an eye on y/n. I know where she lives and what her parents do for a living.

After many spatial jumps and a lot of running, I'm in front of her family's house. Without any hesitation, I knock on the door of the tiny house.

It's her mother who opens the door.

"Where's y/n?" I ask her, panicking. She might already be on her way to the cliff. She can be anywhere and I have to find her so I can save her.

"You're shaking." I would've thought that she would ask me why I'm here but this is ok. Different than I expected, but ok.

"Yeah I am." I say as I look down at my hands. I'm not sure if it is because they're still recovering from the time traveling and the many spatial jumps or from seeing y/n dying right in front of me.

"Please tell me where y/n is.." I say to the woman who's now looking at the blood on my hands.

She's probably wondering who's it is. It's better if she thinks I murdered someone instead of knowing that it's actually her daughter's blood.

"She's upstairs with her dad." She answers my question. She must be utterly confused, probably even scared and I can't blame her.

I pass y/n her mother and run upstairs, needing to see y/n. . alive. A door opens and I stop running when I see y/n walking out of the room.

For a few seconds, I just look at her. Her eyes light up but there is also confusion in them.

"Five.." She breathes.

It doesn't take me long to run up in her arms and to feel the heat of her body against mine.

"You're alive." I whisper as I nuzzle my head in the crook of her neck.

"Of course I am." She whispers back and I'm glad that she doesn't pull away.

It's me who pulls away first just so I can look at her face again. Her smile that shows me that she's truly happy to see me but the frown tells me that she's confused that I'm here.

"Are you okay?" She asks me, shaking the image of her dead and blodied body in front of me out of my thoughts.

"Let's talk downstairs while we drink our soup." Y/n her dad suggests and y/n and her mom both nod.

We walk downstairs and no one says a word. I can feel y/n's eyes upon me but I don't seem to have the strength to tell her that I'm okay. I can't lie to her. After what I've seen, I can't be fine.
