LAGOS, NIGERIA
Sameer's POV
9am, Monday morning, AAHP company.

Sarah I told you, I'm not hiring any corpers! The only reason I'm taking in this girl, is only because her father is a great asset to my company and the jet has been sent to pick them up from Abuja. Don't act daft please. You already know what happened with the last three I tried taking in. I practically yelled at my personal secretary who was already used to my usual outburst
"Sorry sir, I understand sir. I will take my leave" she said as I practically waved her off. This woman is so annoying I huffed as she walked out.
I can't even believe I let Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar talk me into this, honestly this girl had better not give me any problems, he's been going on about his smart gem finishing University in London for months now and how she'd make a great addition to the company with her skills, I had better not teach her anything when they get here later I thought.

At 2pm precisely, Alhaji Mohammed, my fathers long time business partner and associate came into my office with a small figure behind him.
"Sameer!" he said enthusiastically as I went further to shake his hand .
"Oh no! how is a little lady supposed to help run my empire?" I thought. Her small face looked up and I was surprised to see that she looked nothing like Alhaji, unlike him, she was a dark beauty.. clearly Fulani looking with a long face, slim and pointed nose and tiny lips, if I hadn't been told so many times, I would think she wasn't his daughter.

Please take a seat I said and they both moved to the little living area I had inside my office.
"Alhaji..." I started, but no sooner was I cut off by him.
"Sameer, my son. This is my gem, Aman. She has finally finished her degree and I'm happy that you have accepted to let her learn from you and this great company. I'm sure she will be a useful secret weapon when the time comes.." I was looking back and forth from Alhaji and Aman, whose head had been down the whole time.
"Does she think this is a marriage introduction or something? This girl needs to start talking before I change my mind." I thought and finally cleared my throat hoping Alhaji won't interrupt me this time.
"Miss Mohammed, welcome to AAHP, I'm sure your father has given you a briefing about our company by now, and since you will be working with me and our networking and web design team mostly, this shouldn't be a problem and you shall hopefully fit in soon, if there's any problem at all, please don't hesitate to come to me directly" I finished with a small smile secretly hoping she won't come with any problems to my office. Probably realising she was still yet to say anything since they walked in, she smiled and began
"Thank you for having me. I truly cannot wait to get started working with you as I have read so much about you and I've also seen some of your local websites, I cannot wait to give them more life and help your web technicians see that they need to step into the future. There are a lot of issues I'd like to discuss but as this is an interview I shall wait till I start in about a month." she finished off with a tight smile, I was shocked as in all my 33 years and 9 years of running this company, I realised that no staff of mine had spoken to me with that much confidence or critique and at this point I was ready to throw another fit when Alhaji's laugh interrupted my thoughts.
"Ah! Aman my daughter I'm glad to see you're enthusiastic about this. Sameer, I told you she's a powerful gem" he said with a chuckle.
"Well I have the best web technicians in Nigeria, some of them are graduates from the top universities in the world, our websites are also a site to be jealous of miss Mohammed." I said, ignoring alhaji.
"I certainly beg to differ" she said... leaving me surprised.
Do you have a place to stay tonight Alhaji? My guest house is all ready and if you'd rather a hotel, Eko Atlantic hotel is just near by so one of my drivers can take you to your preferred choice after we have dinner I said, completely ignoring this rude gem of alhaji.
"Aman shall be staying with her best friend and I shall be fine in a hotel" alhaji said.
"Oh my God, I can't believe you've agreed to let me stay at Muneera's house daddy. I hope this means I can stay with her when I move back here" she said with a large grin.
"You definitely can" alhaji said with a warm smile. God he really does see her as his gem.
