LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM
CHAPTER ONE
"Congratulations my forever! May this be the beginning of your success and our journey In Sha Allah, I'm super proud of you. Wish I was there! Signed - K!" Aman read the note on the beautiful daisies she had received earlier and she she could feel her heart warm up already, oh how she wished Kamal was here to see her graduate. Suddenly she saw her Maama and Ammi walk in and she couldn't help but feel embarrassed at how her stepmother and mother both stared at her.
"Alright gorgeous, let's get going because I can't wait to see my baby graduate. Look at you, a bachelors degree in computer science at the Imperial College of London. I'm so proud I got to witness this day". Ammi, her mother said as she and Maama both dragged her into a bone crushing hug.
"I love you both so much but this is what I get for having the best mothers in the world, you're going to ruin my turban and it took me 25 minutes to wrap" she said with a mini pout as she tried to free herself from them and they both laughed.

Graduation literally went by in a blur and all Aman could remember was crying and taking a billion photos. While they were all seated at Hakkasan restaurant for her graduation dinner, Aman couldn't help but smile to herself while she thought about how loved she was, all of her family were here, Daddy, Ammi, Maama, Ya Khaleefa, Haleema, Fatima and Fareeda, and even though Ammi and Daddy weren't together anymore, she still felt like everything was perfect at that moment.
"Aman, have you thought about what we discussed? NYSC I mean.. I want you to get ready to come back home as I would love if you were to join the September batch" daddy said, pulling her out of her thoughts and she couldn't help but feel slightly upset as he already said he would think about her starting her masters in September twice.
"Da..Daddy I thought we weren't sure of that yet?" she asked
"Well after careful thinking I am, and I have already booked your flight to Abuja for Friday Amani' Alhaji Mohammed said.
"Alright daddy.. I will get my things ready..." She knew she'd have to leave her stuff at the apartment she shared with her sister, Halima who was in her 2nd year studying law also, at Imperial college, London.

Aman spent the next three days shopping and going to her favourite spots in London with her siblings as they were her favourite people, even though Ya Khaleefa lived with Ammi in Kano, he still was very close to their step siblings.
Haleema was already 22 and felt more like Aman's friend than sister even though they spent the first 11 years of her life apart from daddy and his girls. Fatima had just graduated secondary school in LBIS, Abuja and also turned 18, well nobody really understood her as she wasn't really like any of her siblings, she was too busy getting spoilt by daddy to really pay attention to anyone. And lastly Fareeda, their little angel, she was just 8 but also the sweetest of Aman's siblings.
