"We're doing a duet competition in Glee club– Oh! I completely forgot!"
Dave chuckled. "What did you forget?"
"You didn't tell me you knew Kurt Hummel in high school," Max said, crossing his arms.
He frowned. "What? How do you know who he is?"
Max sighed exasperatedly. "He's like, the biggest fashion designer in the world, Dad. He came back to visit Glee club, he's actually helping Mr. Schue with it now. I asked if he knew you and he said he did but you didn't know each other all that well."
He scoffed. "Didn't know each other all that well? Lady Hummel and I go way back–"
"Lady Hummel?" Max asked, laughing.
"It's his old nickname. But we definitely know each other. I'd say we knew each other inside out."
"Then why did he say he didn't know you?"
"You know what? Ask him. And tell him what I said, in those words."
