Something Like Resolutions

" Oh then I guess we that joint then... " Valentina smiled causing Delilah to nod and bite her lip to contain her overwhelming excitement.

...

The Jackson's dressing room was silent as they all cooled off, Michael's focus on himself in the mirror as he wiped the sweat from his face and neck.

He could feel eyes on him but he didn't bother to look and see until Marlon smacked his teeth.

" What's the problem now Marlon?" Michael glanced at him through the mirror.

Joseph then entered and peered at them. " I guess you'll see." Marlon gritted as he left out followed by the rest of the brothers.

Michael closed his eyes before he stood from his seat and turned around and just as he did so Joseph was right there in his face.

...

Spiffy lit his cigarette waiting for the phone to stop ringing." Hey Sincere man we got some shit to talk about... when is Ghost and his Nephew gonna get kicked out the park? You're stretching this too long..." he glanced at the large grandfather clock." Look I'm coming down there in ten minutes and depending on what bullshit you spitting to me— Ima handle it my damn self." he said through the voice mail causing Killa and Shank to look over at each other and nod as they loaded their guns.

Man Killa didn't feel the need to keep Sincere's murder a secret with Shank, she just didn't tell him how she did it. He already had trust issues when it came to her and vice versa, but they were working on it and Man Killa didn't want to ruin it by telling him the truth about the lies she fed to him when they were younger.

" He still live at the Momentum hotel?" Killa asked as she watched him nod and leave out of Sincere's office.

...

Joseph pushed Michael back into the seat before roughly grabbing ahold of his collar. " What the hell was this doing in your room?" he shook a thick stack of paper in his hand. Michael soon recognized it to be the solo contract Bobby gave him a while back.

If it wasn't for the pure sight of fury in his colorful eyes Michael would've expressed his anger that Joseph invaded his privacy— but instead, all he could do was stare back as he searched for the words to say.

Since Michael entered the early stages of manhood he thought that Joseph would be incapable of making him feel like this, but right now he was a scared little boy all over again. Paralyzed by terror.

" Bobby offered me this contract before he signed the Jacksons but I told him no, either all of the Jacksons or none of us... because we do things as a family always."

If anger was visible he would see it leaving Joseph at an instant. Michael told himself to throw the contract away a long time ago but he would never find it in him to do it.

Joseph cleared his throat as he let go of Michael's collar and smoothed it down again. " Good, and while you're at it you tell off those news reporters and interviewers like that too." he began to rip the contract then drizzled the pieces over Michael's head.

Michael closed his eyes with a clenched jaw until he soon heard the door slam, causing him to open his eyes to see his reflection as a tear escaped his eye.
