On Founder's Day, because Johnathan Gilbert hates vampires so much, he uses the device that can harm vampires as a weapon to get rid of all vampires. I wake up when a house is on fire and see John stake Anna. Then I see him leave the house and I attempt to get out.
A few minutes later, Elena comes inside and helps me out which I am very thankful for. Someday though, John will pay for what he tried to do to me. I don't really care about Pearl and Anna, but I would kill him for what he did to me if I could. I won't though, because Elena is his niece. Oh, and we found out that not only is he her uncle, but he's also her father. Isobel and John had Elena, but Elena grew up thinking he was her uncle.
