Just to let you guys know, this chapter is a little rough, but it goes into Macy's backstory a bit more. P.S All translations are from google translate, although Italian is on my bucket list.

Macy's Pov-

Hours. I've been sitting here for hours. Who knows, maybe even days, weeks. I honestly have no clue. My arm is stitched up where my asshole of a brother shot me. They said and I quote," You can't die yet."

I'm glad that they took the bullet out. If I was going to die, I wouldn't want it to be from a damn infection. That's just so boring. But, they obviously didn't bother about the other cuts that are making my legs all crusty with dried blood.

I groan as I see Aiden walk back into the room with a smirk. I roll my eyes but let out a slight smirk as I see his ever so slightly crooked nose. I headbutted him earlier successfully breaking his nose.

He comes up to me and stands behind me. He roughly pulls my head back by my hair and I growl at him. "Hey, now don't hurt me. You have a visitor," he whispers into my ear. Right as he says that, I look up and my breathing becomes shallow.

"Hello, daughter dearest," my father says standing there in a black suit. His once dark blue eyes are almost grayish black. They've lost a lot of their color. Now only little specks of dark blue remain. What's left of his- used to be blonde- hair is now graying. He's wearing a dark suit with a white shirt underneath.

I'm gaping at him. He's dead, he's supposed to be dead. I killed him.

"What's wrong Macy? Cat got your tongue," Aiden spoke to me.

"Aiden, out," my father says gruffly while pointing to the door. Aiden followed directions and let go of the tight grip that he had on my hair and threw it slightly forward before walking out of the room, slamming the door in the process.

My father looks at me expectantly. I fulfill his expectations by speaking up. "Padre(father), how are you even alive? I literally watched you bleed out in front of me after I stabbed you in the heart," I growled out. I've been doing that a lot lately.

He laughs at me. Just like I did to Aiden when he was stabbing me. " Let's just say that you need to work on your aim, Tesoro (darling)." Yes, we're Italian, unfortunately on my dad's side. I love the language and how romantic it is but it makes me want to barf when I hear it coming out of his mouth.

"Vaffanculo! Stronzo alle spalle. Puttanella Piccola puttana di un papà," I yell at him angrily before he slaps me in the face, shutting me up. (Fuck you! You backstabbing asshole. You fucking whiney little bitch of a dad.)

"Watch your fucking mouth when you're talking to me, or I'll sew your mouth shut. Understand me," he yells, stalking closer, making me shrink back into my seat. I close my mouth and grind my teeth together. I narrow my eyes at him. I know what's better for me and speaking up is not the best decision right now. I know what he's capable of.

Flashback-3rd person-(warning-topics of abuse and rape)

To the outside world, they looked like a perfect family. Really, if you look closer, you would be able to spot the bruises covered by the foundation. That she's hurt, mentally and emotionally. But every day, she walks with a smile, 'cause that's just who she is: The girl who never stopped smiling. That ended tonight. This night was the night that forced her to drop her smile. She finally gave up, dropped the fake smile. This night made a tear escape her eye and run down her cheek. It made her whisper to herself, " I can't do this anymore." She almost ended it all because of this one, dreadful night.

As Macy walked home from her job at the nearby diner, she could hear the loud shouting coming from her house. Another fight between her mom and dad. She wonders what it was this time. Maybe it was her not having enough beer in the fridge, or maybe dinner wasn't done by the time he got home.
