Why does the MC hate herself even though she's practically perfect in every way?! I think you lot think this is a good way to add depth to your character, or try to make her less of a Mary Sue.

It doesn't work. It really doesn't. In fact, it has pretty much the opposite effect.
If you must have your MC hate herself, please give her a legitimate reason. Otherwise she's some sort of preppy goff - i.e. something that shouldn't exist.
