Perhaps, I was to express a negative situation, thought or experience,
But I'd rather sail forward,
retread the mistakes and shortcomings,
and be at peace with it.
Express gratitude instead,
For the learning process,
The opportunity.
The honor even.

Even if I was motivated to write a poem about something that afflicted me negatively, I asked myself instead if this would be helpful for both parties.
I end up being grateful for it instead. I've never felt better.
All my life I've stuck myself with people who didn't entirely accept me backstabbed me and even to some extent, others gaslighted me.
I will never forget how people have treated me for something I wasn't aware of then, people made me feel like I was no better, always pushed me to my lowest and sometimes even degrading my self-esteem.
I guess at this point, I let them all go and eventually found new and better companions.
