Lauren's POV

I looked at her for a while,
I mean, what kind of ‘want’ was that?

Why doesn't she just ask me to cook a liver steak or any shit like that, like everyone else?

“Come on Lauren, it's not difficult...” she said and smiled, looking at me “See? I can”

“But is that...” I started saying

“But nothing, I didn't want to let this seem like an obligation, but you lost my dear, you have to do what I want. I wanted to see you smile for real one day, only one, and hell, it's taking a long time, I'm gonna go from here some time...” she said

“Okay” I said and gave her a smile without showing my teeth

“What is that Lauren? What in the fucking world is that? Is that a smile?”she asked

“In mine world is..” I said and shrugged my shoulders

“It seems it is, because in mine neither fucking is..."” she said and continued “What it is thiiiis, I know you can do better than that. ”

“I can't laugh like that, out of nothing...” I said

“Did you forget how I laughed? she asked and shook her head “it has been so many time since you have done it huh?..
Life is even better when you are happy.” she said

“Are you serious now? just because I don't smile at the trees, I'm not happy?” I asked

“Do you have any idea how important a smile is for a tree?” I looked at her, not believing what she was talking about
“I mean, they would make photosynthesis happier...” she teased

“Still, I'm not going to smile at a tree..” I said

“Love I'm asking you to smile for me and not a tree you stupid” she said and rolled her eyes-

“Look there, I offended the poor tree” I said.

“Lauren, smile quickly...” she said and practically bounced in place

That's not as easy as it seems. Not for me. I sighed

“Can you give me a few hours? That was my only smile and you didn't accept it.” I said

“Do you need hours to smile? ” she asked incredulously, and I nodded
“Oh my fucking God Lauren, that's not so difficult...” she complained

“If you want a forced smile..” I said and shrugged my shoulders... “then there you go.”

“NO! Forced smiles don't work.” She said

“Well I'm not in the mood to smile now...”
I said and crossed my arms

“You have only an hour, not a second more.” She said

Incredible as it may seem, however contradictory it may be, the way she said that phrase made me smile.

Without problems I could have prevented it, but that was not the goal. Obviously it wasn't a big smile, nor a very charming one, but it seemed to please Camila.

“Hallelujah!” She clapped her hands, laughing happilly

“Happy?” I asked

“A lot. You have a pretty smile...
As much as I still wish I could to see a real and not that half false thing.” she said

“That's what I got for now...” I said

“A sincere smile, it would certainly be more beautiful than that.” she answered
