There has always been a hierarchy.
Our lives have been structured by norms.
The state has led us into oblivion.
We suffocate until our sensations cease to help us.
Why are we taught that everything is a competition?
We have to work for success, exploiting our minds until they are incapable of pushing any further.
We are so deceived into giving up hope that we lose ourselves.
Can we retrieve our obscured qualities before it's too late?
Behind every plastered smile lies a shattered mirror.
A mirror that was once whole, reflecting all of our positive traits.
As we have overlooked our utopias, the damages are now irreparable.
We strive to integrate into society, but have we turned ourselves into clones?
Who would want to live in a world where everyone relies on each other?
We burn ourselves out, like a raging fire in a forest.
Our emotions bottled inside our exploding bodies, we're all terrified.
What does it take to reverse these misdirections?
I want this hell to finish, before we all self-destruct.
The immense pressure that roasts us only highlights our insecurities.
We need to embrace the 'competition' and compliment our individualism.
Society is meant to be progressing, it is not meant to comfortably return to its old routines.
We exhale deeply, focusing on the flames. We have burned ourselves for too long.
Perfectly Imperfect.
