TARA MOVED FURTHER down the spiral staircase with Zac who trailed close behind. Her objective seemed to have shifted Zac concluded while keeping his sights her. He couldn't believe that Anomali's Acolyte would actually abandon their mission so simply and yet she did do just that. Maybe it wasn't that easy as Zac had originally pounded; something was drawing her toward the Arch Doorway like a hidden secret waiting for her at the very bottom. The scary part was knowing how much she wanted to unlock it. While her curiosity flared the more she descended, Zac found himself even more curious about her. A third of the way down a wall of fire manifested in front of her which forced her to not take another step. Her neon-blue squares gazed at the height of the fire, only to rotate her head in Zac's direction.
"I... I won't let you go any further than this," Zac stammered.
"Why? What is it that you truly fear? What is it that you dare not want me to know...to see...or better yet to find?" she asked him curiously.
"It's not what I don't want you to see, it's what I don't want you to unleash any further in my mind or dreams," he answered honestly. The annoyance on her face from her frown alone was unyielding to Zac's words and from her deep curiosity he knew that his warning continued to fall on deaf ears.
"Charming dear. Whatever lies abyss presented itself into something of great fear...to you. Fear can manifest into a promising tool of power when collected. It is that power that I now seek," Tara explained to him. The moment her head turned away from him, her body was engulfed by shimmering purple lights that materialized her on the other side of the fire wall. Her answer was just as Zac thought, but surprising to him it also supplied more questions he had for her.
Tara made her way down the last few steps before a bright opening presented itself that led out. With her final step she walked through and emerged from the light to the other end of the doorway. Only when her eyes adjusted did she fell into disbelief. She saw a planetary world that she herself had once must have known.
"Odesmessa?" she whispered. The city's gray clouds that hung low with the sky casting a purple-ish haze. Spire-like buildings, tall enough to touch the clouds stood from the ver black ground. Flying vehicles road along the holographic roadways that were throughout the midsection of the spires. Structures more closer to the ground level were more dome in shape with clear glass for al to witness the architectural beauty from within as well. Tara found herself within a grassy field that had a great overview of the city. Tiny droplets clung to the blades of blue grass.
"Wha...what is this place?" Zac asked, breaking the silence between them.
"This is planet Odesmessa. What was my homeworld," Tara confessed to him. Tara took in everything from sight, smell, to touch seeing as it was exactly as she remembered it last. She could just about smell the wet dew that would have filled the air around them.
