Nagising ako mula sa pagkakaidlip ko nang may kumalabit sa akin mula sa aking likuran.
Inis akong nagmulat ng mata at akmang babalingan ko na ng matalim na tingin ang istorbo kong kaklase na nanggising sa ‘kin nang mahagip ng mata ko si Mrs. Ferrer. Nakatayo na ito sa harapan at nag-aayos ng gamit niya na mukhang kararating lamang.
Mabilis kong pinatay ang music sa phone ko at dali-dali ko itong itinago sa aking bag at hinayaan ko lamang na nakasaksak ang earphone sa phone ko.
“Good morning‚ class. How’s your day?” masayang bati ni Mrs. Ferrer sa buong klase na ikinaikot ng mata ko.
Can’t she just begin the discussion immediately? Cut the greeting and the introductory part. It’s just a waste of time. We are not here anyway for her greetings. We are here to learn!
“Good morning‚ ma’am! It’s great so far!” my classmates answered in chorus as if they were programmed to response that way which made me wince.
Haist! Just discuss already. Dami pang pasakalye.
“It’s good to hear that. But I think your day will be much better after you hear the good news‚” nakangiting sabi ni Mrs. Ferrer na bahagyang ikinataas ng isang kilay ko.
Are we even in a pageant to announce something this way? Can’t she just cut the suspense part? She’s wasting our time.
“Woah! What’s the good news‚ ma’am?” tanong ng mga kaklase ko na hindi na maitago ang kanilang excitement.
What’s so exciting about the news? Tsk! I wonder what it is. But still‚ who cares? I’m not interested whatever it is.
“We will be having a field trip!” masiglang anunsiyo ni Mrs. Ferrer.
Wait. Field trip? Weird. I felt like I’ve heard or read it somewhere before. But the case is‚ I can’t recall where and when exactly it is. All I’m certain is that I’ve read or heard it somewhere.
‘Go on a trip.’
Hey! That’s it! It was written on my bucket list. It was listed as item number 3.
Para kumpirmahin kung tama nga ang naaalala ko ay nagmamadali kong kinuha ang diary ko para siguruhin kung kasali nga ito sa bucket list ko.
I made my bucket list a month ago to help me with my mission in life‚ which is to seek for an answer to my own question‚ “Paano Ba Maging Masaya?” And I was right. It was on number 3.
Well‚ it was in my bucket list indeed. Then‚ I guess it is now the start of my journey. So let’s get this started!
Upon hearing the news‚ lots of things started to bother me. Maraming tanong ang nabuo sa isipan ko. Like “Ito na ba?”‚ ”Is this a sign?”‚ “Is this the key?”‚ “Is this the answer?”‚ “Will I now get the answer that I’ve been seeking for?”‚ “Will I be happy after this?” and a lot more. Well‚ I guess it’s for me to find out.
