So just as predicted by the Celia card showing up in Uma's teaser, we have gotten a new teaser featuring Celia!
Unlike our other two villians, Celia doesn't meantion her problems with Auradon, instead she tells us about the evil that is headed there.
She tells us "All will so be revealed", before holding up a card featuring our favorite power couple, Ben and Mal, with the word 'love' written on it.
She tells us that their love for eachother, their friends, and their kingdom is equally strong. However, she reaveals that friendships will be tested, "some will bend and some will break".
That's when this card appears. Its title is friendship, and it features the core four. As Celia talks, it is ripped down the middle.
We all know that their friendship is strong, so what could tear them apart? We know in the upcoming book that they will be graduating from Auradon Prep, so maybe the need to follow their own dreams will pull this tight group apart?
Though this is a possibility, what if there is more to it? I noticed when the card is ripped Jay and Mal become separated from Evie and Carlos.
Evie and Carlos were always the two that were never truly evil and flourished when they arrived in Auradon. They were also the last two to join Mal and Jay's group.
Mal and Jay, being slightly more rebellious, took longer to settle in Auradon. They have also been friends longer than any other pairing in their friend group.
In the movie synopsis, it states that "Mal resolves to close the barrier once and for all". If that were to happen, any remaining kids would be left there with their parents.
Evie is Ben's advisor on the Isle and she's in charge of recruiting kids to be brought over. If the barrier closes, everything she has been working towards is over.
Jay being Mal's best and oldest friend would be most likely to stick by her side when making this sort of decision.
Carlos, knowing how terrible his own childhood was on the Isle, would be most likely to stand by Evie vouching for the barrier to stay open so the kids can be freed.
The need to fight for what they believe in and do what's right for the Isle and Auradon, could certainly strain or even tear apart a friendship. Especially when friends are split between two different sides.
Next, Celia tells us these chilling words followed by an ominous card.
A great evil
One from within
That cannot live without
Will have their revengeBased on the words and the scepter, it's clear she is referring to Audrey. However, what is it she cannot go without?
Being in the spotlight?
Being with Ben?
Being Queen?
A combination of all three?
What is it that drives this seemingly 'perfect' princess, to turn evil? The card portrays the word 'betrayal'.
Fitting seeming as Audrey, a princess in Auradon, a 'seemingly good' person, and a daughter of heros, becomes evil. By doing so she is betraying or going against everything she was taught.
Lastly, we see this card. Shown once in the hand of Celia, and again at the end.
The card portrays Beast castle falling apart. Banners are scattered, lightning is flashing, and the castle has a chunk out of it. So far, the end card has been a clue to who we would hear from next.
In the recent 'Good to be Bad' trailer, the castle is shown though not in such rough condition. Could it be refering to the upcoming music video release? Or is another surprise headed our way?
Let me know what you think!
