"Oh crap we have to get up" I say as I shake cole awake.
I guess he slept with me last night so I wouldn't have another nightmare. Good thing our parents weren't home.
"Oh yeah I forgot we had school" he says chuckling as he rubs his eyes.
I get up and go turn the shower on. He gets up and leaves to his bathroom.
I walk into the shower as the warm water hits my body. I always take showers. I haven't took a bath since my sister drowned herself Bc I'm scared that it would happen to me.
I get out and go over to my closet to find a outfit to wear. Every year a day before a football game we just wear leggings and hoodies.
I throw my hair into a high bun and put some mascara and lip gloss on. I put my shoes on grabbed my bag and ran downstairs to see colby eating already. I sit across from him grabbing the cereal and pouring it in my bowl.
"Can we not talk about last night ever again? I was just scared and needed someone for me" I say.
"Ok deal." He asks smirking.
"Ok good. I don't want anyone else knowing that I'm a little cry baby and i can't control my emotions" I say putting my bowl in the sink as he follows my lead.
We go outside and get into our cars.

"Good morning delinquents." I say as me and colby arrive at the jock table
"Good morning to you too" Kat says.
I sit between McKenna and jasmine as colby leans against the table eyeing everyone he sees. I swear he's so scary sometimes.
I suddenly hear my phone ring and I check it.

Hey Captain, I need you to do practice today on the field while the boys are having football practice. Just like we do every year. I just won't be there today I have a family emergency. See you at the Friday night lights. 🤍
"Oh great. Coach is having me do practice today on the field while y'all practice too." I say rolling my eyes and texting her back a yes ma'am.
"I mean you are captain. What do you expect?" Tara says laughing.
