I had no choice but to watch as the time slowly rolled by.

It wouldn't be long until my next class came.

Maybe I was secretly selfish,

for wanting you to come a second time.

I stood up, my mind was about ready to leave.

But my heart wasn't quite there yet.

I was about to lose all hope.

And then you walked into the library.

Just as the bell was about to ring.

From one look you sent my whole heart to war.

I quickly walked up to you,

pushing past all of the people who were walking in the opposite direction.

Your gaze met mine and I never felt more

e n t r a n c e d.

By your hazel brown eyes.

I handed you a note.

With a quick smile,

before running out of the library.

I went to my next class.

My heart was racing,

secretly from the fear,

but also from happiness.

I did it.
