Silence Hidden In Words

Today was the day, that I decided to talk to you.

I know it was random.

But I had to do it today.

"Hello."  I said almost too confidently.

Almost too loudly.

The voices were slowly

drowning out my own and

I knew if I didn't take my

chance now. I might not have another.

"Your in my English class right?"

I waited and waited for you to answer, or even at least smile.

What seemed like seconds turned into minutes,

and what seemed like hope eventually faded

into regret.

You walked away.

And as much as I wanted to stand up.

And stop you.

I didn't.
