Dear Naomi,

I have now landed in California and am staying with my parents until I can find a job and work up enough money to buy an apartment. I am missing you already and cannot wait until I see you again.

My parents say that they are excited to meet you, but I know that they already don't like you, as they are overprotective of me. But don't worry, we'll get through it, right?

It's so much warmer in California than in Minnesota, but I cannot help but miss the three-foot snow that you loved to play in. Remember that one time when we had a snowball fight and you got a bloody nose? The neighbors thought that someone had died since there was so much blood.

I know that you'd love it here, with me, but I also know that it is, and will always be your destiny to be in New York, the Big Apple, where your dream job is.

Write back soon, and I love you.

To NYC, with Love,

Dalton
