I finally got home, turned on the lights. I tried to be quiet, because my mother was asleep. I put my jacket on couch and then sat, taking off my shoes. Could this day be worse?

Front door opened and Billy entered. "Hey."

"Hey.", I said just staring at one spot.

He didn’t say anything and he was just about to go upstairs when I stopped him.

"What were you doing on Kevin's party?", I turned around to see him.

"I knew you took my diary and letter, so I wanted to find you and get it back, but when I saw you reading it I knew it was too late.", he looked at his feet.

"So all that time you were at the party?", I asked and he nodded. "Oh my god."

He finally looked at me and he had to ask the question, even though the answer was obvious.

"Did you two break up?", I nodded.

"You wanna talk about it?", he asked.

     "Not really.", I turned back.

There was a silence for a bit, but then I said. "You said you were going to do a right thing. What did you mean by that?"

     "What?"

"The way you ended your diary.", I said. "What did you mean by doing a right thing?"

"I realized you would ask that. My heart hadn't stop beating fast ever since I saw you in that garden. So I finally listened to it. It took only a little time for my mind to clear up enough to really understand what I really wanted."

I was sure it was a long story, that breaking up with Liz wasn't easy for him. I knew he really loved her and he would tell me eventually, but now it wasn’t a moment for that.

"And what do you really want?", I asked.

"I want you.", he answered and I laughed ironically.

"Don't you get it, Billy?", I got up and turned to him. "You just make everything worse, because you're a bad person. You're always gonna be a bad person. You won't ever change, because that's in your blood. It's who you are.", I got closer and closer to him. "I used to be okay, my life was great and then I met you. You know, it would have been better if we never met."

"Maybe you're right, Betty!", he snapped. "Maybe I am hateful. Maybe I ruined your life. Maybe I'm the devil, and the worst thing that ever happened to you, and a million other awful things...But did you ever stop to think that even if I am a monster...I might be your soulmate, anyway?"

I just rolled my eyes and ignored his words, pass through him and went upstairs. "I know you deserve better than me. You think I don’t know that?!", he was yelling while I was going upstairs. "But if there was any woman made for me…it’s you. I’ll do
whatever I have to do, Betty. Do you hear me?! I’ll do anything, because I am not losing you again.", I went inside my room, locked the door and jumped in my bed with tears in my eyes.

Steve's P.O.V.

"I'll have another one, please.", I said to the bartender.

"Steve?!", I heard familiar voice behind me, I turned around and saw Liz. "What are you doing here all by yourself?"

"Well, I should ask you the same question.", I said turning back around.

She sat next to me. "I'm not alone. I'm here with friends, but then I saw you and...Umm wanna talk about it?"

"No, not really.", I shook my head. "You know what?", I drank one last shot. "I should get going.", I got up.
