Hoseok almost stumbles himself when he entered the on-call room. He barely opened his eyes after almost thirty-hours shift. It was hectic because of the incoming patient and he didn’t even have the time to eat. He took more than twenty cups of coffee, let the caffeine injected the energy into his vein – so that he can keep his eyes wide open.
The shift ended five minutes ago but he was too sleepy to drive back home. He needs the sleep urgently and he straddled his legs towards the room. His whole body aching and the muscles were uptight.
Hoseok throws his body on the lower bunk bed, pressed his head onto the soft pillow and closed his eyes – getting ready to sleep.
“Out! Out!”
Hoseok instantly opens his eyes. The same screaming again. It had been banging in his head for a few days. He can’t brush it away from the box of his memory. The cracked voice, the hurt face and the pain in his eyes. Everything had makes his heart aching.
Hoseok laid his arm to his forehead, now wide awake as the sleep he urges to have a few minutes ago suddenly disappeared. He was barely sleeping after the incident. He can't focus and been caught in a trance for few times while working. Which is very unprofessional of him.
