"Did you find anything?" Scott asked, a small glimmer of hope in his eyes as the three of us stomped out of the woods, single-file.
Stiles was leading us, a slightly amused smirk on his face, though he still looked bummed about our investigation. I was walking behind him, annoyed and ready to go back to bed. Liam trailed off a few feet behind us, arms slumped.
Stiles and I stopped in front of Scott, and Liam looked up at his alpha hopefully, "I fell in a hole."
I glared at him, and Scott raised his eyebrows at Stiles, who was laughing.
"Actually," Stiles corrected, once he got himself together. "Your girlfriend pushed you and you tripped...then fell in the hole."
"Why'd you push him?" Scott frowned, looking over at me.
I sighed loudly. "He was being annoying, okay? I didn't see the hole."
"It was hilarious," Stiles continued telling Scott about it.
I leaned over and pecked Liam's cheek. "Sorry."
He grinned at me happily, and I smiled back, feeling like I had just cheered up my sad puppy.
