2:Are You Ok

Lucas' POV

I know you probably think I'm a horrible person but oh well. You're probably thinking, why am I so mean to Maya, well that's a story for later

"Party at my house and don't be late" Missy the head cheerleader purred at me

"I wouldn't miss it" I say huskily and she giggles and I walk away. As I'm walking I see her and by her I mean Maya. I silently creep up on her but stop when I hear her whimpering and mumbling something to herself

"Oh mom" she says quietly. Her mom what about her mom. I've known Maya Hart since we were in diapers and her mom was like a second one to me

"I miss you so much" she says wiping away the tears. Where is her mom

"Maya" I barley whisper but I can see her tense

"Lu-Lucas" she stutters and I can see the fear in her eyes

"Are um you alright" I ask scratching the back of my neck nervously. When I look up she looks taken back and confused. I am pretty confused myself as to why i'm acting this way, it's only because i care about her mom. That's all.

"I'm fine" she shuts her locker only to shut one of her fingers in the door. She is the only person I know who can do that, hurt herself in the weirdest ways
"Oww" she cried and her finger was blowing up and getting bruised

"Hey you ok" I ask getting a step closer to me but then she hiss herself

"Please don't near me" she says

"What happened to your mom" I ask just to get to the point, I can't risk people seeing me talking to the nerd

"Ah what" she asks me

"What happened to your mom" I say as if I was talking to children

"I don't see how that is your business" she sneers but soon widens her eyes when she realize the type of tone she used with me

"Just tell me what happened" I yelled at her

"She died ok she's dead" she states turning on her heel and leaving me there in state of shock
