Klaus shifts one night that was beyond his control (shocking) because he normally has tremendous control and can shift at will, his wolf drags his vampire and human side along and ends up at Carolineś house and doesnt attack

He was broken from his musing by the crack of femur breaking; this was quickly followed by his wrist and the rest of the bones in his body. Klaus tried to stop the transformation but couldn't. He didn't understand, he was The Original Hybrid he controlled the transformations, not the moon, he turned as he pleased. But before he knew it Klaus was furry and on all fours, golden eyes glowing in the now red moon light.

As a wolf all Klaus could think about was how much he missed Caroline and before he even consciously decided his paws were pounding across the earth heading towards Caroline's house. The human side of Klaus tried to reign in the wolf to keep his promise but the wolf was out and the wolf wanted, no needed Caroline so the human and vampire sides gave in because it was what they also truly wanted and Klaus' speed increased. He was now a blur flashing through the landscape a straight lined arrow to Caroline.
He slunk in between the trees of the back yard. Suddenly the back door swung open as she walked out onto the wooding decking. She sat down on the steps, sighing as she looked up at the moon thinking about how wrong life because Tyler is complete bastard and broke up with her to go out with Hayley and admitted (in a jerk way) to cheating on her while they were dating and was almost proud of it and a single tear slipped out.
She heard light footsteps approaching, interupting her thoughts and her head flashed in the direction it was coming from, she gasped and let her eyes widen as she saw a warm midnight black werewolf watching her intently, she didn't move but tried to calm her breathing, she knew one movement from her could make the wolf react and kill her, she had seen Tyler in his werewolf form many times and he was nowhere near as large as the wolf standing before her. She didn't take her eyes off the wolf once as it slowly made its way from the side of her to a few feet in front of her, she looked directly into its eyes and saw they were amber golden yellow but didn't look dangerous, instead Caroline wanted to move closer to the wolf as she almost felt calmed by the gentle eyes, she tipped her head to the side and the wolf bowed slightly, letting it's head and eyes face the floor, she raised her eyebrows but very faintly spoke,
