"Write about being in a country or rural setting"

The country side has a charm of its own, to those who do not stay there. And those who do, will not admit to its flaws. What is it that abound in the air of these open spaces, which for centuries, has perpetuated that myth that life there is perfect? Nothing is perfect in this life of ours so how does living in a country side make it perfect.
One certainly does stay in the lap of nature, and yes, proximity to nature calms one mind and soothes the spirit. Think of sight of stars on a clear moonless night, feel the rush of the gentle breeze that flits across the fields, listen to the crackle of nature in the night and dawn, they are beautiful but then that is only one side of coin.
The other side is of open fields and hard work, of physical labour and reduced material comforts, of being at the mercy of the element, be it the burning sun or the lashing rain.
The country side has a charm, it's true but then it has an ugly under belly too.
