"More like medium-rare." Magnus replied, trying to lighten up the mood in the room.

"No one asked your opinion. Why are you here anyways?" Myrcella walked towards Alec, eyebrows furrowed.

"What Myrcella means is thank you for your help. I'm Magnus, we haven't been formally introduced." Magnus gently pushed Myrcella aside and put his hand out.

"I'm Alec." The older shadowhunter replied with one of those award winning smiles which made Myrcella stomach flutter. Must be something I ate, the younger girl thought to herself. "We should uh we should go back to..." Alec was muttering but Magnus finished the sentence for him.

"Right, we should probably join the party." He added with a smile. Alec nodded and jogged off. Magnus turned towards Myrcella who was leaning against a wall with a distant look in her face.

"The war is far from over but you shouldn't have exposed yourself like that." He commented approaching the girl.

"Doesn't matter. I killed them both." Myrcella replied, looking at her feet. She didn't want to look at Magnus in the eyes as he'd try to figure out why she burst out in anger like that. "I need a drink." She added and stormed off to her room.

She shut her door and picked up the bottle of bourbon that was on the minibar in her room. She took a huge swing and laid on her bed. The half warlock felt a huge blast of magic and realized Magnus relocated the lair. Realizing they were safe for now, she opted to take another swing of her bourbon. The young girl closed her eyes and relived the attack. Then a certain raven haired boy with a smile to die for came in her mind. Myrcella tried to get rid of his face but it was no use. She knew that sooner or later she had to face her feelings and get over it because he didn't like her as she did.

"Stupid!" She yelled and threw the bottle towards her door.

"Woah! Now that would have been a waste of alcohol." Isabelle stated as she came in her room just in time to catch the bottle. "Now what did a bottle of bourbon do to anger you so much?" The dark haired girl asked as she went to sit next to her new friend, even though she guessed the problem.

"I don't want to talk about it." Myrcella groaned and hid her face in one of her pillows. Isabelle gave a light laugh at her antics and sighed.

"Good, I'll talk then. I know my brother comes off harsh but don't take it personal. It's only because everything changed after you and Clary came into our lives and he just couldn't adjust to it yet. I personally find it amazing though." Isabelle tried to soothe the girl, knowing she was mad at something her brother had said or done, or worse both. Myrcella got up and took the bottle back.

"I don't care what your brother thinks but I'm glad I met you." She gave her a smile, even though they both knew that was a lie.

"Now come on, we're going to summon a memory demon and you shouldn't miss the fun." Isabelle winked and linked their arms together to join the rest of the group.

Myrcella was grateful for the younger Lightwood as she never had a close female friend. She wondered if one day they'd be each other's parabatai. When they walked in, it was only Jace and Alec. Myrcella unwillingly groaned which made Isabelle snicker.

"You shouldn't drink on the job." Alec commented crossing his arms. Myrcella pulled the bottle away from her lips and put it down.

"This better be good." Jace whispered grinning.

"I don't work for you Legolas." Myrcella shot back confusing everyone because they didn't know mundane references. "I see you've put your stick back in." She added rolling her eyes and sitting down. Isabelle noticed he was going to say something and hit him with her elbow. He shot his sister a questioning look and she gave him a serious look, nodding towards the strawberry blonde who gazed out of the window at the New York skyline. He got the message and took a deep breath. He knew there was an apology long due but he was too prideful to apologize earlier.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled, sitting next to her.

"What?" Myrcella's eyes widened.

"You're not a problem." Alec replied running a hand through his hair, obviously uncomfortable with the situation. Myrcella was taken aback and didn't know how to reply. Her thoughts were interrupted by her sister screaming in agony. Her head shot in the direction it was coming from and saw Jace giving her a new rune. After realizing her sister wasn't in danger, she returned her attention to the certain Shadowhunter that was sitting next to her.

"I'm sorry for lashing out at you." She found the courage to say after a minute and smiled up to him. Her smile was infectious to him and he smiled as well. For a bit, nothing else seemed to exist for the duo and they were lost in the moment. The high warlock eyed them and realized Myrcella never smiled at a guy like that before. He wondered if Alec was the one she was talking about earlier, meanwhile Isabelle just smiled proudly at them, knowing how stubborn her brother could be.

"Myrcella, can you come in here for a second?" Clary called out which snapped them back to reality. Myrcella's cheeks felt hot and she knew they matched her hair but before she got up, she saw the hint of redness on Alec's face as well. Alec saw the look on his sister's and Jace's face after Myrcella left and rolled his eyes.

"Shut up." He commented and got up as well.

"Wow, someone can draw." Myrcella commented at sister's work on the floor as she crouched down next to her.

"Thank you." The younger sibling smiled before frowning. "Do you think summoning a Greater Demon is wise to get my memories back?" She consulted her older sister, trusting her opinion. Myrcella felt her heart swell, not realizing her opinion mattered before. She smiled and grabbed Clary's hand.

"I know you're doing it to get our mom back. I would do whatever it takes to do it as well. Plus don't worry you're strong enough and I'll always be here to protect you." Myrcella encouraged her sister, knowing she needed her support. Clary, in reply, threw her arms around her and gave her a hug, which surprised the half warlock at first but she returned it quickly.

"Thank you Ella." Clary said pulling back. "So, you and Alec?" She teasingly asked, seeing how close they were before she called her sister in. Myrcella blushed again and jokingly slapped her sister's arm.

"Shut up." She said trying to hide a smile. She did enjoy having a sister. "Now let's get everyone here and summon a demon. This should be fun." Myrcella got up, holding out a hand to her sister.

Author's note: Okay so here's a filler chapter before everything goes down starting with the summoning of the greater demon. You should know Alec and Myrcella aren't just going to be together really fast. It doesn't happen like that, ever but bear with me, I promise it will be worth it. I'll also be adding pictures to this chapter in the following days.

If you guys have any ship names for the two please comment here. I'm thinking Myrcalec or something like that?

Comment here if you have any guesses how the next chapter is going to turn out.

Thank you for reading!
