Chapter 15: We Won

Todoroki's P.O.V

When Fuyumi left my hospital room, thoughts were flowing throughout my mind. I felt bad for Toya, but I understand why he left. If I wasn't the 'masterpiece' to my father, and instead I was seen as a 'mistake' in his eyes, would I have done the same thing? Would I have ran away and drowned in my hatred to the point where I became a villain? The thought was rough, but it was also just another thing to be grateful for, that I had my siblings to encourage me to do what I love.

 I was blown out of my thoughts when the door flew open, "TOOOODOOOROKIII!!!" Midoriya jumped on top of me, nuzzling his head in the nape of my neck. He was sobbing waterfalls, his hands were tightly wrapped around my waist.....and yes, it did hurt like hell because it was a lot of pressure on my fresh wound. But, I didn't say anything, nor wanted to. I missed him, and even though I was the one captured, I was truly worried about him. "I-I w-was so worried, I called you, a-a-and you never picked up! I-I thought you hated me because of what you said, b-but it turned out to be T-Toga a-and..." He looked up at me, his shiny, green eyes enhanced me. His voice got softer, "I was awfully worried, I tried not to show it as much...but....it hurt not knowing if you were ok."

I placed my hand on his cheek, which made him smile and place his hand on top of mine. "I'm ok Izuku, and know that whatever that crazy, blonde girl told you was false."

His eyebrows raised and his jaw dropped a bit," Izuku. You called me by my first name?!"

"I-Is that bad?" I asked in a un-sure tone.

"NO! No, it's not! I uh, have been wanting to go on first name basis for a while now." He answered sheepishly.

"Well, just because I was stabbed, doesn't mean I didn't here you call me Shouto." I pried.

His cheeks had a tint of red, "....." He didn't reply, his lower lip stuck out in a pout, and his eyes were starting to water again. I'm so stupid, he's obviously still shaken up about the incident yet I decide to bring it up. Worst boyfriend of the year award goes to me. I was about to say something comforting, but he beat me to it. "How did you escape? Toga told me that the League Of Villains captured you. So how?"

"I wa—" I paused, should I tell him? The one thing Dabi asked of me was to not tell anyone about him saving me. I should at least respect his one wish. "....Unlike Bakugo, I was able to actually sneak myself out of there." He started to giggle, which made me laugh, and in a few seconds we were both laughing. I don't think we were laughing at the small remark I made about Bakugo anymore, I think we were laughing because it felt good to be happy again. If it wasn't for Dabi saving me, who knows what would've happened to Midoriya, who knows if I'd still be alive. 

Midoriya's laughter died down, and mine did too right after. He laid his head on my chest, his left arm was around my waist, while his right hand rested on the bed sheet. "All jokes aside Shouto....I was really worried about you, so I need something from you..." Izuku looked up at me, his green orbs held determination, but also fear at the same time. "Promise me, that no matter what happens you'll take care of yourself. Even when your fighting the most horrific villains, you'll make sure that you'll come back to me..." Tears slowly started to fall from his eyes again. "......because if I lose you, I'd lose half of myself, and I just can't have that. I know asking something like this isn't easy because we both want to be Pro Heroes, and it's sadly obvious that there will be worse things that will come our way, and because of that, our relationship will have it's storms, but I know that we can get through it!" I looked down at his hand, which was gripping the bed sheet, I can tell he was trying his best not to cry as much. "I mean, in order for a rainbow to appear, you need rain! So, promise me that you'll never stop.....never stop l-loving me and that you'll always come back to me."
